About Pendulum
Pendulum® is pioneering a new frontier in human health—one rooted in the microbiome, a system that underpins nearly every function in the body. While the world spends trillions treating symptoms, the microbiome remains one of the most powerful and underutilized levers to improve long-term health.

At Pendulum, we are not simply participating in the probiotics category—we are redefining it. Built by scientists, not marketers, Pendulum was founded by leading experts in microbiome research, DNA sequencing, and metabolic health, with a singular goal: to develop products that deliver real, measurable outcomes.

After more than a decade of rigorous R&D, Pendulum has created a new class of medical probiotics—formulations built on proprietary strains, manufactured through cutting-edge anaerobic technology, and validated through clinical research. Today, Pendulum is the #1 GI doctor-recommended brand of Akkermansia-based probiotics, trusted by over 30,000 healthcare professionals, and backed by institutions like the Mayo Clinic.

Our products are designed to address some of the most pressing health challenges of our time—from metabolic dysfunction and diabetes to gut health, immunity, and beyond—by restoring and strengthening the microbiome at its foundation.

We are building not just a company, but a new category at the intersection of healthcare and consumer wellness—one that delivers the efficacy of pharmaceuticals with the accessibility of consumer products.

If you’re excited by the opportunity to shape the future of health, build a category-defining brand, and bring breakthrough science to millions, we’d love to meet you.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Director Brand Marketing to expand Pendulum’s reach by building strategic partnerships that unlock new audiences, elevate the brand, and drive meaningful business growth.

This role is responsible for identifying and activating partnerships across consumer brands, healthcare platforms, and lifestyle ecosystems—creating integrated programs that combine compelling brand storytelling with tangible commercial value. These partnerships may take many forms, including co-branded experiences, bundled offerings, content collaborations, and embedded product moments that connect Pendulum to consumers in relevant, trusted contexts.

Rather than relying solely on traditional advertising, this role focuses on showing up through the brands, platforms, and experiences that shape how people live—ensuring Pendulum is not just seen, but experienced. The goal is to build partnerships that feel native, additive, and valuable to both the partner and the consumer.

Success in this role requires the ability to balance creativity with commercial rigor. The right candidate knows how to craft partnerships that feel authentic and culturally relevant—while also delivering measurable outcomes across earned media, customer acquisition, and revenue.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring Pendulum shows up in ways that build trust, credibility, and connection. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
