What is the Director, B2B Marketing role?

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, B2B Marketing to join our marketing and sales leadership team, reporting directly to our Chief Executive Officer. As the Director B2B Marketing, you will be focusing on competitive positioning, B2B lead generation, external communications, PR, content strategy SEO. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate our brand and enhance market visibility. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, creative vision, and strong leadership skills to effectively drive results.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to define target audience profiles and optimize the sales funnel.  Develop and implement lead-generation campaigns utilizing email marketing, webinars, trade shows, and custom marketing strategies directed to businesses.  Produce persuasive marketing materials to support lead acquisition and nurture prospects through the pipeline.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies that align with overall business objectives and leverage insights from target audience research.  Define brand positioning, messaging, and unique differentiators to establish and maintain a strong market presence.  
  • Create compelling narratives around products to effectively communicate their value and differentiate them in the market.  Work closely with product teams to align marketing efforts with product features and benefits.
  • Plan and execute strategic public relations campaigns to elevate the company's reputation and visibility.  Monitor media coverage and industry developments to identify opportunities and address potential risks proactively.  Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, manage media interviews, and coordinate speaking engagements to highlight key initiatives and milestones.
  • Design a robust content strategy tailored to business goals and audience needs.  Supervise the production of compelling content for digital platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, and email newsletters.  Maintain consistency in tone, messaging, and branding across all content outputs.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and consumer behavior studies to identify industry trends and opportunities.  Use data-driven insights to refine marketing initiatives and measure brand performance.
  • Stay informed about evolving industry trends, tools, and best practices.  Pursue professional growth opportunities to enhance marketing expertise and innovation.
  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to applicable regulations, industry standards, and ethical guidelines.  Uphold and promote the company’s core values in all marketing endeavors.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of demonstrated success in brand management or marketing, ideally within the SaaS sales and startup environments.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and trends, turning insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across organizational levels.
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms and tools, including email marketing, SEO, PPC, CRO, project management, and content creation/design.
  • Proven ability to build and inspire high-performing teams, fostering growth and accountability.
  • Experience creating custom marketing campaigns, managing trade shows, organizing webinars, and crafting press releases.
