Included Health’s Care Delivery General Management team is responsible for the P&L of our portfolio of clinical products, which deliver services to millions of members each year across health plan, enterprise, and direct-to-consumer channels. As an Associate General Manager on the team, you will lead the overall business strategy and performance of our largest channel, health plans– guiding how and what we sell to maximize value for our health plan clients and members. You will report to our Sr. Associate General Manager.

You will collaborate across the organization to design and accomplish a cohesive, long-term growth vision for our health plan channel, including business line and product expansion. You will understand the needs of health plan buyers and consumers inside and out, identifying market trends and client insights to guide prioritization and resource investment decisions for your channel. You will flex between strategist and operator mindsets, ensuring execution against tactical priorities that map to Included Health’s long-term goals.

Your daily work includes a mix of business strategy (e.g. analyzing trends in the health plan space, building business plans, identifying partnership opportunities), product vision (e.g. developing a POV on how to build solutions that address health plan needs), operations (e.g. identifying and sizing important scale opportunities), and commercial execution (e.g. supporting complex sales efforts and strategic client projects).

Responsibilities:

  • Define and monitor key metrics for your channel across bookings, revenue growth, scale, engagement, member experience, and clinical value, partnering across teams to ensure execution against the daily activities necessary for business success.
  • Translate performance insights and competitive intelligence into priorities for organizational action, designing and leading cross-team initiatives to respond to challenges and opportunities in your channel.
  • Develop the long-term growth strategy and financial model for your channel, leading decisions around pricing, packaging, and technical/operational resource allocation to deliver the highest impact.
  • Collaborate with our Sales and Customer Success teams to develop engagement plans for strategic prospects and clients– translating market feedback into our product design, leading the assessment of new business opportunities, and guiding tradeoffs between revenue and margin to optimize overall channel performance.
  • Evaluate opportunities to enter new lines of business within your channel, building executive support for your business cases, scoping entry requirements, and leading launches.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, with at least 5 of those years focused on health plan commercial strategy internally at a carrier, in a management consulting role, or at a technology company selling into health plans
  • Demonstrated experience driving successful sales, partnerships, or go-to-market strategies
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and influence across all organizational levels
  • Experience leading strategic and high-stakes projects that provide measurable top and bottom-line impact.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

  • Capability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
  • Occasional travel

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
