Famehouse is seeking an experienced merch Account/Brand Manager to join our team as a Director, Artist & Label Services, focusing on artists across our pop/rock roster.

In this role, you’ll lead our relationship with each artist team, crafting merch & D2C strategies that align with the artist’s creative vision to deliver strong commercial results across both merch and music. You’ll develop long-term (rolling 12mo+) calendar plans across all revenue channels—including D2C, tour, VIP, retail sales, and licensing—guiding the strategy behind every campaign, product launch, and fan experience.

This role requires a strong ability to sell ideas and inspire confidence with artist and label teams, bringing clarity & thoughtful storytelling to every campaign discussion to help artists understand D2C & merch’s impact in building fandom. It requires exceptional taste, deep cultural fluency, and an intuitive understanding of artist brand, aesthetic direction, and creative identity.

Success in this role also requires exceptional collaborative leadership, working closely with many teams and disciplines, both internally and with partners. Candidates must lead with positivity, respect, and a team-first mindset, ensuring strong partnerships across the organization and consistently delivering great outcomes for artists.

How You’ll CREATE:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned artists and label partners, building trusted relationships with artist management, label marketing teams, and creative partners.

  • Lead holistic, cross-channel merchandise strategy across D2C, tour, retail, and licensing, including for physical music on d2c, exclusives, and fan engagement moments.

  • Develop rolling 12-month calendar plans across all channels, including D2C, tour & VIP, retail, and licensing initiatives, working closely with the artist team, label marketing and creative.

  • Bring infectious energy, enthusiasm, and storytelling to all pitch, proposal, and planning conversations — inspiring clients to adopt innovative D2C and merch ideas that drive growth.

  • Lead development and presentation of artist proposals, calendar plans, and go-to-market initiatives, ensuring buy-in from clients and stakeholders.

  • Partner closely with Campaign Managers to ensure all campaigns and initiatives remain on track to achieve artist and label goals, proactively identifying opportunities to optimize performance.

  • Oversee delivery of Artist & Label Business Reviews, campaign recaps, insights reporting, and strategic recommendations.

  • Manage artist and label feedback and ensure all executions are aligned with client expectations and artist brand standards, including leading all business and product approvals.

  • Serve as a collaborative, trusted partner inside the organization — working closely with a wide range of teams, operating with positivity, respect, and a solutions-focused mindset.

  • Maintain strong client satisfaction by ensuring artist teams feel supported, informed, and excited about their partnership with Famehouse.

Bring Your VIBE:

  • 8+ years of experience in account management, artist relations, marketing, or eCommerce within music, entertainment, or merchandise.

  • Demonstrated success managing artist relationships in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong understanding of the label, artist, and merchandise ecosystem, ideally with prior label-side, artist commerce, or D2C experience.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
