Position Overview

Diligent is seeking a Director of Analyst Relations (AR) who will be responsible for elevating the company’s position across key industry analyst firms. This leader will shape the company’s narrative in the market, influence analyst perception, drive category leadership, and support revenue growth by ensuring that analysts clearly understand our vision, competitive differentiation, customer outcomes, and product roadmap. Reporting directly to the VP of Solutions Marketing, the Director of AR partners closely with Product, Marketing and Executive Leadership to build a world-class AR function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the company’s global AR strategy and program to drive continuous interaction and engagement, leading to positive placement and recognition in leading reports.
  • Build, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key industry analysts and influencers (e.g. from Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other relevant firms), ensuring regular engagement and trust.
  • Lead and manage all major analyst evaluations (Magic Quadrants, Waves, MarketScapes, etc.) including planning, evidence gathering, executive briefings, submission management, and follow-up.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Communications/PR to ensure messaging, product roadmap, and competitive differentiation are clearly communicated and aligned for analysts.
  • Create and deliver analyst-facing content: briefing decks, competitive positioning, messaging documents, product updates, customer success stories, and thought-leadership narratives.
  • Monitor industry trends, analyst research, competitive landscape and use those insights internally — informing product strategy, GTM positioning, competitive analysis, and executive decision-making.
  • Manage AR operations: engagement calendar, analyst briefings, inquiries, advisory days, events/conferences, budget, research subscriptions, and any external vendor/agency relationships, and track and report regularly to the executive team.
  • Serve as a strategic adviser to senior leadership — advising on how analyst sentiment, market trends, and competitive dynamics should influence corporate strategy, product roadmap, and marketing positioning.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Analyst Relations at a high growth scaling technology company.
  • Deep experience partnering with Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other major firms. Experience in executing and delivering strong positive results for various vendor comparative assessments (MQs, Waves, MarketScapes) preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with key influencers, leading industry analysts and securing coverage.
  • Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technology into compelling narratives.
  • Able to manage cross-functional teams and influence others without authority.
  • Strong executive presence; ability to coach senior leaders for briefings and inquiries.
  • Exceptional project management and and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience influencing new SaaS categories or AI-related markets.
  • Background working in fast-paced, global SaaS companies (mid-market to enterprise) preferably in the governance, risk management and/or board management domain.
  • Experience presenting to C-suite audiences, board members, and external analysts.
U.S pay range
$160,000$170,000 USD

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
