Job Description

Attain Partners is seeking a Director of AI to lead the firm’s enterprise-wide adoption of artificial intelligence across how we work, how we deliver, and how we serve clients.

This role is not an innovation lab or R&D position. It is a firm-level leadership role accountable for translating advances in AI into measurable improvements in consulting delivery, client outcomes, and competitive differentiation.

The Director of AI will define and drive Attain’s AI strategy, partner deeply with practice leaders, and ensure AI is embedded into standard delivery models, offerings, and ways of working. Success in this role means AI becomes a core capability of Attain, not a side initiative.

This leader will operate as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, a catalyst for practice transformation, and a market-facing voice for Attain’s applied AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Firmwide AI Strategy & Adoption

  • Define and lead Attain’s enterprise AI strategy, focused on practical, responsible adoption that improves delivery efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Drive firmwide AI adoption, ensuring AI tools and methods are embedded into everyday consulting workflows—not isolated pilots.
  • Establish clear priorities for AI investment aligned to business outcomes, client demand, and practice needs.

Consulting Delivery Transformation

  • Partner with practice leaders to redesign delivery models, methodologies, and accelerators using AI.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities where AI can materially reduce delivery time, cost, risk, or effort across Attain’s services.
  • Ensure AI capabilities are repeatable, scalable, and integrated into standard project execution.

Client Impact & Market Leadership

  • Serve as a market-facing AI leader, supporting executive client discussions, solution shaping, and go-to-market differentiation.
  • Help clients move from AI ambition to execution by modeling Attain’s own applied AI approach.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, offerings, and messaging that position Attain as a trusted advisor in applied and responsible AI.

Operating Model, Enablement & Governance

  • Establish governance, guardrails, and standards for responsible AI use across the firm.
  • Guide enablement efforts (training, playbooks, tooling) to upskill consultants and leaders on effective AI usage.
  • Partner with Technology, Security, Legal, and Risk leaders to ensure AI adoption is secure, compliant, and ethical.

Leadership & Influence

  • Act as a connector across practices, functions, and leadership—driving alignment without relying on direct authority.
  • Translate complex AI concepts into clear business value narratives for executives, clients, and delivery teams.
  • Influence change in a matrixed consulting environment through credibility, clarity, and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in consulting or professional services, with deep exposure to large-scale transformation.
  • Proven experience driving enterprise adoption of AI, analytics, automation, or digital capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of how AI can be applied to knowledge work, delivery operations, and client services.
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior leaders and driving change across multiple practices or business units.
  • Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments and turning vision into execution.
  • Excellent executive communication skills; able to engage credibly with C-suite clients and internal leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior leadership role focused on AI, data, analytics, or digital transformation within a consulting firm.
  • Experience building AI-enabled offerings, delivery accelerators, or playbooks.
  • Market-facing experience including executive client engagement, sales support, or thought leadership.
  • Familiarity with modern AI platforms, LLMs, automation tools, and AI governance approaches.
  • Clear point of view on responsible, scalable, and practical AI adoption.

What Success Looks Like

  • AI is embedded into Attain’s standard delivery approaches.
  • Practices measurably improve speed, quality, and margin through AI-enabled delivery.
  • Clients see Attain as a trusted partner for applied AI, not experimentation.
  • Consultants at all levels actively and responsibly use AI to do better work.
  • Attain’s AI strategy drives real business outcomes, not just innovation activity.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
