Solvd Inc. is a rapidly growing AI-native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. We work with industry-leading organizations to design, build, and operationalize technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Following the acquisition of Tooploox, a premier AI and product development company, Solvd now offers true end-to-end delivery—from strategic advisory and solution design to custom AI development and enterprise-scale implementation. Our capability centers combine deep technical expertise, proven delivery methodologies, and sector-specific knowledge to address complex business challenges quickly and effectively.

Solvd is seeking a Senior Director of AI Solutions - a techno-functional leader who will shape, sell and scale our next generation of AI service offerings. This role sits at the intersection of technology innovation and business growth, driving revenue impact through solution strategy, deal leadership and delivery alignment.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical credibility with strong commercial and consulting acumen, translating AI capabilities into tangible client value and accelerating Solvd's AI transformation journey.

What you’ll do
  • Drive and own the AI solutions offering portfolio (GenAI, LLM-based, Agentic AI) from ideation through market launch, enabling growth and differentiation.

  • Collaborate with GTM teams (sales, marketing, partners) to craft solution value propositions, build climb-charts, influence pipeline, support POCs and convert opportunities into engagements.

  • Lead key sales pursuits: lead solutioning workshops, presale processes, shape deal architecture, run technical-commercial demos and help define scope, pricing, and delivery model to maximise win-rate.

  • Ensure delivery readiness: in partnership with technology leaders validate that proposed AI engagements are feasible, scoped appropriately, resource-aligned, and have acceptable risk/margin before hand-off to delivery teams.

  • Maintain credibility with clients and technology teams: act as thought-leader in GenAI/LLMs/Agentic AI, staying current on ecosystem (models, platforms, guardrails) and present to client executives and internal stakeholders.

  • Build and lead a small team of solution architects and pre-sales specialists focused on AI solutions; mentor and grow their capabilities.

  • Monitor and report on key metrics: pipeline influenced, proposal-to-win conversion, offering adoption, margin performance, and client satisfaction.

Who are you
  • You combine strong GTM and commercial skills with deep delivery/technical credibility in AI (especially GenAI, LLMs and Agentic AI) and traditional software engineering.

  • You have experience working in a services or consulting environment (rather than purely standalone product) and understand how to turn technical capabilities into market-ready service offerings.

  • You are comfortable engaging at senior client levels (C-suite / VP) discussing business value of AI, as well as working with engineers and architects on solution design and execution.

  • You are entrepreneurial, able to build repeatable offerings, drive change across sales/delivery boundaries, and improve win-rate and margin.

  • You have strong collaboration skills: you can work effectively with sales, marketing, alliances, delivery leadership and capacity/resource management.

  • You are metrics-driven: you track pipeline conversion, win rate, utilisation, margin and use those insights to refine offerings and improve performance.

  • You stay ahead of the curve: you have a solid understanding of the GenAI/LLM ecosystem (model types, platforms, deployment challenges, ethical/guardrail considerations) and can translate that into client conversations and deliverables.

Mandatory requirements
  • 10–12+ years of experience in technology consulting, solution architecture or presales leadership roles, with at least 2 years in AI-driven or data-led transformation programs.

  • Proven record of owning or leading complex presales pursuits (>$1M TCV), including solution strategy, scoping, pricing and client presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into differentiated AI solution strategies - particularly in GenAI / Agentic AI domains.

  • Deep understanding of AI service delivery models (e.g., accelerators, PoCs, pilots, managed services) and how they tie to commercial success metrics (margin, utilization, win-rate).

  • Experience partnering with GTM organizations (sales, marketing, alliances) to develop offerings, pitch materials and go-to-market collateral.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of engaging both C-level business stakeholders and technical architects.

  • Strong commercial acumen: able to assess feasibility, risk, and profitability of proposed engagements.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business/Technology Management.

Optional requirements
  • Hands-on familiarity (conceptual or practical) with GenAI ecosystems — e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI, Google Vertex, Anthropic, or open-source frameworks (LangChain, RAG architectures).

  • Prior experience leading cross-functional pursuit teams involving solution architects, product consultants, delivery managers and AI/data engineers.

  • Proven success in developing and launching new service offerings (solution accelerators, frameworks, playbooks or reusable assets).

  • Experience presenting at industry conferences or leading internal AI evangelization / thought leadership initiatives.

  • Understanding of AI governance and ethical AI frameworks (data privacy, transparency, model risk).

  • Domain experience in retail/eCommerce and/or customer experience transformation.

  • Industry-recognized certifications in the GenAI or AI strategy space.

When you join Solvd, you'll…

  • Shape real-world AI-driven projects across key industries, working with clients from startup innovation to enterprise transformation.

  • Be part of a global team with equal opportunities for collaboration across continents and cultures.

  • Thrive in an inclusive environment that prioritizes continuous learning, innovation, and ethical AI standards.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
