The Opportunity
As a Director of Accounting at 8020 Consulting, you’ll serve as a senior accounting and finance advisor to our clients, leveraging your technical expertise and leadership experience to solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful business impact.
You’ll lead high-priority accounting and financial reporting initiatives, partner directly with client leadership, and help organizations navigate periods of growth, transformation, and change. Engagements may span technical accounting, financial reporting, close optimization, audit readiness, internal controls, accounting systems, and other critical initiatives within the CFO’s organization.

Ideal candidates will have:
- Significant experience leading accounting and financial reporting functions
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting best practices
- Experience with technical accounting, complex transactions, and audit readiness
- Strong understanding of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Experience partnering with CFOs, Controllers, and other senior executives
- A track record of improving accounting processes, controls, and reporting
- Experience with ERP and accounting technologies such as NetSuite, BlackLine, SAP, or similar platforms
- The ability to quickly assess complex situations, identify opportunities, and develop practical solutions
- Strong client management and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach
