Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive leadership of the ECS Navy portfolio to maintain and grow positions across multiple technologies in a highly competitive landscape. Develop, maintain, and execute both short and long range strategies with leadership buy-in for the pursuit and capture of key opportunities consistent with the goals and objectives of the Company, including technology road maps and leveraged execution strategy.
- Drive Navy classified engagement across the business area and Electronic Systems Sector. Serve as the primary POC for managing several Navy portfolios and develop/implement strategies for expanding BAE Systems presence and market share with the Navy Special Programs customer set.
- Demonstrate visible leadership across multi-team campaigns driving business winning discipline, following the BAE Systems Lifecycle Management and Sector processes for Business Development and Capture. These activities include building and managing multi-functional, high-performance capture teams, contributing to detailed capture plans with customer engagement activities, communicating BAE Systems' core capabilities, establishing team agreements, and managing bid and proposal funding.
- Cultivate strong external and internal relationships at various levels with the US government, prime contractors, and BAE Systems executive ranks to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Take an active role in development and execution of the business winning strategy to maximize workshare in a competitive acquisition landscape. Work closely with Product Lines to develop and execute "keep sold" strategies for key existing Navy positions within the business area.
- Measure and regularly report out on strategies, plans, activities, and results to executive leaders, secure senior leadership buy-in and investment.
- Foster a culture of innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all Company standards for business development and capture, including lifecycle management review processes, security requirements, and DFARS requirements.
- Attract, develop, and retain high-performing, diverse talent; build future leaders through development, mentoring, and modeling excellence. Lead through inspiration and encouragement to enhance employee performance, engagement, and overall team optimization. Take action and make decisions regarding personnel matters as needed.
- Demonstrate a leading role in promoting adherence to the company's ethical standards and business practices; ensure compliance with the BAE Systems Operational Assurance Framework and all other policies and requirements; provide for good stewardship of the assets of the business.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related discipline and a minimum of 12 years of experience leading technical and program teams through all phases of the lifecycle along with deep knowledge of the Navy customer.
- Proven success identifying growth areas and developing and executing new business strategic plans aligned with the company's growth objectives. Experience leading large and/or complex programs in the Defense market is a strong positive.
- Knowledge of customer community and mission and demonstrated experience establishing and building customer relationships and the ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead a diverse, matrixed team, including strong partnership, leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others.
- Success operating, allocating resources, and prioritizing effectively in limited timeframes.
- Excellent communication skills with experience providing executive level briefings on project status and recommendations.

- Master's Degree
- Thorough understanding of the Navy market, its customers and the ability to think strategically and champion future opportunities for Electronic Combat Solutions.
- Deep understanding of the technologies and operational use cases associated with electronic warfare across the Department of Defense.
- Navy acquisition program office or requirements development/JCIDS experience
- Developmental or operational flight test experience with airborne EW systems
- Proven experience working in SAP and TS/SCI environments
- Knowledge of the Department of the Navy Corporate Process for Planning, Programming, and Budgeting.
