Job Description

The Product Manager Lead Consultant is responsible for contributing towards defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of one or more products in Allstate’s growing product portfolio. The Product Manager Lead Consultant assists with establishing strategic product vision, product discovery, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize the customer and enterprise value provided by their product. Successful Product Managers help to identify assumptions and validate those assumptions using product discovery techniques. The Product Manager Lead Consultant is responsible for working closely with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring the successful definition and execution of go-to market and communications strategies for their products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Authors, tests, and accepts stories.

  • Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy.

  • Contribute towards creating the product strategy for one or more products in our growing digital product portfolio.

  • Provide input on decomposing complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for the Product Team.

  • Leverage systems thinking to influence and guide solution design that meets customer needs while adhering to Allstate technology architecture

  • Manages the product backlog, contributes towards creating an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations.

  • Represent the “voice of the customer”; invest significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs and habits.

  • Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.

  • Partners with engineers to understand technical details required to build solutions and author unambiguous stories

  • Use API testing tools (e.g., Postman) to validate and accept user stories

  • Owns the entirety of the product, including customer outcomes and operational metrics (e.g., availability, performance, usability, running costs) of the product

Experience

• 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 110,000.00 - 181,025.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
