Job Description

The Digital Product Manager is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of two or more products in Allstate's growing product portfolio. Product Manager manages strategic product vision, product discovery and roadmaps to maximize the customer and enterprise value provided by their product. The Digital Product Manager for Application Hosting Strategy will define and lead the hosting strategy for microservices across multiple cloud environments. The DPM will own strategy, roadmap, health, usability, adoption, and iterative value delivery of hosting capabilities that serve engineering teams building distributed applications.
This role will drive the evolution of the enterprise’s microservices hosting platforms—containers, serverless, service mesh, workload orchestration, platform governance—ensuring developers can efficiently deploy, manage, and scale modern workloads across cloud environments (public, private, hybrid).
The strategy should align to the platform simplification vision and guide the enterprise toward a consistent, secure, and scalable hosting model.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
  • Develop and articulate a long-term hosting strategy for microservices across multi-cloud environments.

  • Define product vision, roadmap, priorities, and success measures for application hosting capabilities.

  • Align hosting strategy with enterprise modernization, cloud transformation, and platform engineering initiatives.

Hosting Platform Capability Management
  • Lead the evolution of core hosting components such as container platforms, orchestration, service mesh, networking, autoscaling, observability, and release governance.

  • Identify and prioritize enhancements to support workload efficiency, resiliency, security, and cost optimization.

  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure hosting capabilities meet developer and operational needs.

Outcome-Based Product Delivery
  • Author, refine, and prioritize stories and epics focused on delivering incremental value to platform consumers.

  • Define and track KPIs such as deployment speed, platform reliability, customer adoption, and hosting cost effectiveness.

  • Conduct discovery, backlog refinement, and agile ceremonies to support continuous value delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with cloud architects, security leaders, infrastructure engineering, and application teams to ensure hosting capabilities align with technical and business requirements.

  • Work with developer experience teams to enhance documentation, onboarding, and self-service workflows.

  • Facilitate alignment across multiple stakeholders in engineering, business, and operations.

Technical & Systems Thinking
  • Understand distributed systems and microservices hosting patterns to inform product decisions.

  • Incorporate best practices in cloud-native architecture, multi-cloud workload management, and platform governance.

  • Translate technical challenges and opportunities into meaningful product roadmaps.

Stakeholder & Change Leadership
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap progress, risks, and adoption plans to leadership and partner teams.

  • Serve as a thought leader for hosting modernization and cloud-native engineering practices.

  • Influence cross-team decision-making and drive alignment through strong communication and negotiation skills.

Experience

• 10 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 134,000.00 - 209,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
