The Company:

Faraday Future (FF) is a California-based mobility company, leveraging the latest technologies and world’s best talent to realize exciting new possibilities in mobility. We’re producing user-centric, technology-first vehicles to establish new paradigms in human-vehicle interaction. We’re not just seeking to change how our cars work – we’re seeking to change the way we drive. At FF, we’re creating something new, something connected, and something with a true global impact.

Your Role:

This is a rare chance to join as a founding member of our Digital Product Design team. We are in the middle of transforming into an AI-first product organization, and your work will directly shape how people experience our FX and FF vehicle lines. You will take on a vast greenfield, turning bold ideas into intuitive, human-centered solutions that reach real drivers and passengers.

You will partner with a high-caliber team of Product Managers, Engineers, and executives in a flat, fast-moving organization. If you thrive in ambiguity, take pride in shipping real products, and want your design vision to have outsized impact, this role is built for you.

Please include a link to your portfolio of your work when you apply.

Responsibilities

  • Design in-car digital experiences that are thoughtful, beautiful, and usable.

  • Apply mastery of layout, typography, color, and iconography to create high-impact designs.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering from concept to launch.
  • Leverage first-hand AI expertise to drive faster, smarter design and product decisions.
  • Advocate for users by shaping not only how things look but how they work.

 Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience designing, shipping, and iterating on digital products.
  • A strong designer at core, with solid product thinking and an appetite to grow into a cross-functional leader who bridges product design and product management
  • High agency: you take initiative, move fast, and make things happen.
  • Strong portfolio that shows conceptual strength, product thinking, and refined execution.
  • Comfortable solving complex interaction problems across digital and physical touchpoints.
  • Excellent communicator and storyteller who frames design decisions with clarity.
  • Energized by ambiguity and skilled at turning uncertainty into clear direction.
  • Proficient with modern design and prototyping tools.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with consumer-facing products, ideally involving devices in complex engineering environments.
  • Empathy for software engineering workflows. You do not need to code, but you understand the constraints.
  • Cross-cultural empathy, with working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese as a plus.

Annual Salary Range:

($114,000 - $200,000 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans

 Perks + Benefits

  • Healthcare + dental + vision benefits (Free for you/discounted for family)
  • 401(k) options
  • Casual dress code + relaxed work environment
  • Culturally diverse, progressive atmosphere

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
