Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a collaborative and data driven Digital Personalization Specialist to join the Information Technology department in a teleworking arrangement. The Digital Personalization Specialist will create and implement personalization and conversion optimization solutions to enhance the user experience, increase website conversions and meet strategic organizational goals.

Reporting to the Director of Web Applications & Analytics, the Digital Personalization Specialist will work across multidisciplinary teams (design, content, accessibility, analytics, marketing, development) to produce strategic and actionable insights and recommendations that will increase user engagement and website conversions. He/she is responsible for developing, implementing and managing personalization and site optimization tactics. Information Technology provides a modern, collaborative environment with on-site amenities, professional development opportunities and a flexible summer work schedule.

  • Develop and execute website personalization and optimization strategies. Create and implement rules-based personalization experiences using enterprise platforms.
  • Define and manage user segments and audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to refine messaging, targeting, and content strategies that drive meaningful user engagement and conversions.
  • Monitor active campaigns, analyze results, and deliver clear reports and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with designers, content editors and web developers to direct the implementation of personalization and optimization changes.
  • Manage all personalization and optimization documentation, including a roadmap for future personalization opportunities.
  • Advise university staff on personalization and optimization strategy, standards, policies and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of web and digital experience trends, including state-of-the-art techniques and methods.

Qualifications

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:

Experience & Technical Expertise

  • Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with Sitecore’s personalization and optimization tools.
  • Strong grasp of personalization and optimization best practices, with the ability to continuously refine strategies based on performance data in order to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Knowledge of web and digital best practices—including responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization—and the ability to assess the feasibility and strategic impact of proposed digital tactics.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience collaborating with technical teams to estimate level of effort, evaluate implementation considerations, and support effective roadmap prioritization.
  • Passion for data analysis and performance measurement, including interpreting test results and behavioral metrics to inform decisions.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Skilled in engaging with stakeholders to understand challenges and business goals, translating those needs into actionable web strategies that enhance user experience and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with designers, developers, and content creators to implement strategies across digital platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain testing outcomes and strategic recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, track follow-ups, and maintain clear documentation to support cross-functional collaboration.
