Spectrum News is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to coordinate and implement marketing materials and promotions. Actively assist in supporting and leading digital efforts and special projects. Provide full on-the-ground marketing support and engage with the editorial news teams and external agencies as the key marketing contact. Collaborate to develop shared processes and determine best practices for key initiatives and projects. Maintain marketing data to track and analyze marketing campaigns and promotions. Report on marketing campaign results. Lead key initiatives, localization of campaigns, and management of the traffic and programming guides.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently lead & support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Coordinate and communicate with marketing team and other departments regarding the planning, creation and implementation of digital marketing campaigns and promotions.
Serve as the resident expert on all things digital, guiding localizations and customizations of campaigns at the state and local levels.
Collaborate closely with key partners including Creative, Editorial, Digital, Operations and Sales.
Support the growth of Spectrum News' mobile and Connected TV apps through the deployment and management of app growth/engagement campaigns in collaboration with media agency.
Gather and consolidate data for marketing programs; create tracking system to report on campaigns, goals and results.
Coordinate promotional efforts across multiple platforms.
Contribute to marketing process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate to identify and develop efficient processes for local and shared implementation and adapt best practices for key initiatives.
Process marketing invoices and manage financial tracking systems.
Track and summarize promotional campaigns and events to analyze success.
Communicate with affiliates and vendors; make payment arrangements and review invoices.
Maintain and update digital promotional calendar and key priorities as needed.
Schedule promos across all traffic platforms (linear and digital).
Review and analyze research findings and incorporate key learnings into marketing initiatives.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
3+ years Marketing experience
Ability to take ideas from concept to completion; handle multiple projects under deadlines
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple priorities effectively
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
Project management skills
Demonstrated organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision
Demonstrated attention to detail
Proactive attitude
Self-starter
Knowledge and ability to use the following office equipment: computer, telephone, copier, fax, calculator, and stapler
Knowledge of basic mathematics
Basic knowledge of marketing strategies, brand consistency and procedures
Knowledge of cable television products and services
Knowledge of apps and other digital products
Knowledge of media and advertising techniques
Knowledge of all social media platforms
Proficient knowledge of personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, Internet etc.)
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or College course work in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Experience in news environment

The base pay for this position generally is between
$60,400.00 and $96,800.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
