In This Role

You will own and optimize a multichannel, top-of-funnel acquisition engine spanning paid media, organic discoverability, AI-driven search, and website conversion. You will use a test–learn–iterate approach to generate qualified traffic, improve acquisition efficiency, and create a scalable digital-growth program.

This is a hands-on role for a resourceful growth marketer who is equally comfortable adjusting media campaigns, improving technical search performance, analyzing conversion data, and partnering with content and web teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage digital acquisition strategies across paid media, organic search, AI-driven search, and web conversion.
  • Own multichannel paid-media campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X.
  • Monitor budgets, pacing, bids, audiences, creative performance, and acquisition efficiency.
  • Optimize campaigns against metrics such as CPC, CPA, cost per qualified lead, qualified sessions, and conversion rate.
  • Build and maintain a structured testing roadmap covering audiences, bids, creative, offers, messaging, and landing pages.
  • Lead technical SEO initiatives involving indexation, metadata, internal linking, structured data, and schema markup.
  • Develop and implement answer-engine and generative-engine optimization strategies.
  • Partner with content teams to create search-informed briefs, Q&A content, schema recommendations, and intent maps.
  • Collaborate with web teams to plan, launch, and evaluate landing-page and conversion experiments.
  • Maintain consistent campaign tagging, UTM standards, attribution practices, and funnel measurement.
  • Partner with marketing operations to improve dashboards, reporting, and data integrity.
  • Analyze performance trends and provide weekly recommendations and recurring strategic performance reviews.
  • Support the digital amplification of events, partnerships, account-based marketing, and other acquisition programs.
  • Identify opportunities to scale growth efficiently within limited budgets and resources.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, digital acquisition, or demand generation.
  • Direct experience managing multichannel paid-media campaigns and budgets.
  • Proficiency with major digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Strong understanding of CPC, CPA, conversion rate, cost per qualified lead, attribution, and funnel performance.
  • Hands-on technical SEO experience, including metadata, indexation, structured data, and schema markup.
  • Current knowledge of AEO, GEO, AI search, or generative-search discoverability practices.
  • Experience developing and executing website conversion-optimization programs.
  • Experience planning and evaluating A/B tests involving landing pages, messaging, creative, or audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn campaign data into clear optimization decisions.
  • Experience maintaining UTMs, tagging standards, attribution integrity, and marketing-performance reporting.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple channels, experiments, and stakeholder relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing to startups, founders, venture-backed organizations, or technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a startup, venture-capital, SaaS, cloud, or technology environment.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or comparable analytics platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing operations on attribution models and dashboards.
  • Working knowledge of content strategy and search-intent mapping.
  • Experience supporting account-based marketing, events, partnerships, or integrated demand-generation programs.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted marketing workflows and optimization tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related discipline.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
