Digital Experience Specialist III (SEO/Paid Search)

Overview

This advanced specialist leads Compassion’s search marketing strategy and execution across organic (SEO) and paid search (SEM) channels, driving growth, enhancing brand visibility, and delivering best-in-class digital experiences. The role is pivotal in guiding audiences from awareness to advocacy for children in poverty through data-driven strategies, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous optimization. At this level, the incumbent operates independently on complex initiatives, influences cross-departmental strategies, and mentors other professionals.

What You’ll Do

· Spiritual Commitment Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.

· Child Advocacy & Protection Acts as an advocate to raise awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children and prioritizes child protection in all decision-making. Abides by Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation and supports appropriate responses.

· Lead Search Strategy & Execution Designs and leads comprehensive strategies for SEO and paid search to increase traffic, improve rankings, and drive conversions across web and digital platforms. Oversees keyword research, ad copy development, content optimization, and technical SEO initiatives.

· Paid Search Campaign Management Executes and optimizes paid search campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Microsoft Ads), including keyword targeting, bidding strategies, budget pacing, and creative testing. Monitors performance to ensure cost-effective outcomes and alignment with ministry goals.

· Content & Channel Optimization Applies SEO and SEM best practices to optimize content and ads across all digital channels. Collaborates with content creators and creative teams to ensure alignment with search intent and audience needs.

· Performance Analysis & Innovation Tracks KPIs for both SEO and paid search, conducts A/B and multivariate testing, and monitors analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console, ad platform dashboards). Identifies opportunities for growth and innovation, adjusting strategies based on algorithm changes and market trends.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration Partners with creative, technology, analytics, and other marketing teams to integrate search efforts into broader digital campaigns. Communicates performance insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

· Thought Leadership & Mentorship Serves as a subject matter expert in search marketing. Shares insights on emerging trends, tools, and techniques. Contributes to the development of Compassion’s digital marketing capabilities.

What You Bring

· 5–7 years of relevant experience in SEO and paid search.

· Hands-on expertise with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other paid search platforms.

· Hands-on expertise with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console).

· Strong understanding of content strategy, audience segmentation, and engagement best practices across major search platforms.

· Experience with web analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Adobe Analytics).

· Strong strategic thinking paired with an analytical, performance-driven mindset.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a purpose-driven organization
