Scripps News is seeking a Digital Content Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the content creation that appears across networks, websites, apps, and platforms including OTT. In addition, monitoring day-to-day execution of site content, editing and proofreading material, keeping the content on all networks up to date, informative and appealing.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Manage daily content posting across O&O websites and social media platforms.
Manage breaking news across digital platforms.
Follow-up proactively with marketing and creative teams for assets required to meet deadlines
Prepare and deliver AVOD/SVOD metadata to partners
Maintain and update affiliating sites
Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics
Monitor execution of digital content across channels
Repurpose content for different mediums including video and social media
Edit video for YouTube and other social media platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree preferred
5+ years experience in related content management or production preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Experience in content production
Good understanding of responsive design with experience on Mobile and Desktop
Basic knowledge of HTML and web publishing
Experience working with content management systems
(Wordpress, Brightcove, MySQL etc.), and should also be knowledgeable in Microsoft applications, Adobe Creative suite a plus.
Familiarity of web service api’s for providing data feeds to apps (xml, json, etc.)
Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork
