Job Description:
Our Opportunity
At Chewy, we're looking for a Digital Content Creator to help bring social-first stories to life across Chews. As a hands-on member of our Creative team, you'll concept, create, and deliver content that connects with pet parents across paid and organic social channels. You'll turn briefs, campaign ideas, and cultural moments into platform-native photo, video, motion, and static content, moving from idea through final delivery with speed, sound judgment, and attention to quality.
Our ideal candidate is equal parts creator, producer, designer, and visual storyteller. You understand what makes content resonate across platforms and can concept, shoot, produce, design, and edit work independently when speed and agility matter. You also know when an idea needs support from photographers, videographers, producers, or agency partners.
At Chewy, we're building more content in-house. We're looking for someone with strong creative instincts, solid design skills, and a clear understanding of social-first storytelling. You stay close to platform behaviors and culture, test new formats and tools, and apply performance insights to make the work more effective.
This role reports to the Associate Creative Director, Chewy and is expected to work in person at least three days a week in Plantation, FL.

- Hands-on experience creating lo-fi, organic, and UGC-style social video, including shooting and editing natively in platform apps.
- Strong design skills in typography, layout, composition, and brand systems.
- A solid understanding of paid and organic social media, platform best practices, performance marketing needs, and emerging content trends.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. Experience with After Effects, Figma, and native social editing tools is preferred.
- Experience using or experimenting with AI-powered creative tools to improve efficiency and support content development.
- Experience writing social-first copy, including captions, headlines, and post copy.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment, accountability, and the ability to move work forward with limited direction.
- A collaborative, kind, and empathetic approach, plus a genuine love of pets and comfort working with animals of all shapes and sizes.
- A resume and portfolio are required with your application.
- Travel expectation: up to 10%.

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
- Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
- Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
- Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
- Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
- Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
