Huron is a global consultancy that collaborates with clients to drive strategic growth, ignite innovation and navigate constant change. Through a combination of strategy, expertise and creativity, we help clients accelerate operational, digital and cultural transformation, enabling the change they need to own their future.
Join our team as the expert you are now and create your future.

Huron’s Growth Portfolio is a fast-growing part of our Global Digital Capability, focused on helping clients accelerate top-line growth through business-led, tech-enabled transformation. We are looking for a Business Consultant to join our team and work across a network of cross-functional, agile PODs dedicated to solving front-office challenges for clients.
As a Business Consultant in the Growth Portfolio, you will lead and support client-facing strategy engagements that focus on driving revenue, improving customer engagement, and modernizing front-office operations. You’ll collaborate across PODs with enterprise architects, data strategists, experience designers, and delivery leaders to translate business priorities into integrated, technology-enabled solutions.
In parallel, you’ll help build and scale a new line of business within Huron - contributing to the development of reusable strategy playbooks, go-to-market offerings, pipeline development, and solution templates that enable us to consistently deliver measurable value across clients and industries.
This role is ideal for a management consultant with strong business acumen, cross-industry versatility, and a bias toward action. You should be comfortable operating in an agile, startup-like environment - where ambiguity is embraced, ideas are tested quickly, and strategic thinking is paired with hands-on execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and support strategy engagements across industries focused on front-office transformation—including growth strategy, go-to-market design, customer experience, and digital operating models.

  • Work across multiple agile, cross-functional PODs to address client challenges such as revenue growth in CPG, customer retention in financial services, and contact center transformation in healthcare.

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate market opportunities, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and financial implications.

  • Translate complex business problems into structured solution hypotheses and strategic roadmaps, identifying key levers for growth and value creation.

  • Design and facilitate working sessions with client executives, aligning stakeholders around strategy, priorities, and execution plans.

  • Develop and iterate reusable frameworks, playbooks, and accelerators based on real-time client experience, helping to build a scalable strategy offering for Huron.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, data experts, designers, and delivery teams to ensure strategic vision translates into integrated, executable solutions.

  • Take an active role in pipeline development, working with leadership to shape pursuits, craft points of view, and align proposals with client needs.

  • Stay flexible and entrepreneurial - pivoting quickly across industries, topics, and solution areas based on client demand and market shifts.

  • Embrace ambiguity and rapid iteration; contribute to a culture of experimentation and innovation by piloting new methods and sharing learnings across the team.

  • Continuously monitor market trends, macroeconomic signals, emerging technologies, and customer behaviors to inform client strategy and internal offering development.

  • Help define how Huron shows up in the market—shaping intellectual capital, go-to-market collateral, and new service offerings as part of a startup-style business build.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, or innovation role at a leading consulting firm.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a startup-style environment - comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, limited structure, and new ways of working.

  • Strong understanding of front-office functions (e.g., marketing, sales, service, customer experience), with the ability to connect business objectives to enabling technologies.

  • Experience supporting or leading pipeline and offering development, including shaping proposals, SOWs, building thought leadership, or creating repeatable strategic frameworks.

  • Experience leading or supporting strategic engagements across multiple industries; preferred experience in Financial Services, Healthcare, or Consumer Products.

  • Proven ability to structure and solve ambiguous business problems, synthesize insights from diverse data sources, and build clear, actionable strategies.

  • Excellent facilitation, storytelling, and executive communication skills.

  • Comfortable navigating between strategic thinking and detail-oriented execution.

  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Miro/Mural, and collaborative design tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or related field.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
