The Digital Community Manager will recruit and train social media editors, oversee community engagement, and manage talent development programs.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Digital Community Manager to join Vocal’s growing team. The ideal candidate understands internet culture instinctively and can translate that knowledge into identifying and cultivating talent. This is a full-time position through November 2026, with the opportunity for extension.
Responsibilities - Partnerships & Talent
- Set strategy for recruiting and training a team of social media editors through a network of youth, digital, and/or organizing groups in the social impact and social media space
- Identifying potential talent in a large pool of creators and editors
- Optimize onboarding and outreach strategies for continued program growth
- Create and implement community engagement strategies to increase user retention and platform adoption, including organizing and moderating community challenges
Responsibilities - Community Management and Training
- Oversee a community of social media editors, owning support needs and overseeing talent development programs
- Build and maintain an active and engaged community
- Oversee development of best practices and community resources, acting as a sounding board for burgeoning creators
- Work closely with social team to identify and nurture talented social media editors
- Help shape internal workflows and product development based on community insights
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in organizing, community management, or social media
- Experience building, growing, and managing large online communities
- Understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube content strategies
- Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Passion for short-form video content and social media trends
- Project management experience and close attention to detail
