This position is fully remote. All applicants must live and work in the United States.

We are TAG, a digital agency that helps top-tier brands create beautiful digital experiences that drive performance. We’re looking for a Digital Analyst with a strong foundation in analytics to support our growing data and insights practice. This role is perfect for someone who is equal parts analyst and strategist—comfortable navigating platforms like GA, BigQuery, Amplitude, and Triple Whale, while also translating complex data into actionable marketing and website strategy.

You are innately curious, detail-oriented, and data-driven, with a passion for auditing analytics setups, uncovering performance gaps, and building data-informed recommendations. You're just as comfortable diagnosing implementation issues in GA or Tag Manager as you are presenting strategic insights to clients. Familiarity with privacy tools like OneTrust and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA is a major plus.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead analytics audits to assess current tracking implementations (GA4, GTM, Amplitude, Triple Whale, etc.) and identify gaps in data accuracy, visibility, and compliance.
  • Support analytics setup, QA, and performance monitoring, including BigQuery integration, event modeling, and UTM taxonomy structure.
  • Inform and shape CRO strategies using insights from analytics platforms, heatmapping tools, and behavioral data.
  • Collaborate with design, development, and client services to translate data into impactful web strategies and A/B testing ideas.
  • Define and track KPIs across client websites and campaigns, contributing to quarterly roadmaps and QBRs.
  • Provide strategic POV on consent and privacy compliance, collaborating with developers and client legal teams where necessary (OneTrust, cookie banners, data retention, etc.).
  • Partner on large-scale migrations or redesigns, with emphasis on tracking continuity, data layer validation, and analytics parity post-launch.
  • Bonus: Support SEO strategies with data-driven insights—leveraging keyword rankings, search performance, user journeys, and conversion metrics.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You…
  • Have 5+ years of experience in a digital strategy, analytics, or marketing operations role, ideally within an agency or consulting environment.
  • Are fluent in GA4, BigQuery & Tag Manager.
  • Understand how to bridge the gap between business questions and data—translating what you see into what to do.
  • Are familiar with consent management platforms (like OneTrust) and understand basic compliance frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA.
  • Are confident presenting to stakeholders, asking smart questions, and guiding clients toward scalable, data-informed decisions.
  • Are energized by working in a fast-paced environment with a mix of B2B and DTC clients across a variety of industries.
  • Bonus: You’ve worked in Shopify or Drupal, and have experience with ecommerce analytics or tagging complexities in headless builds.
  • Bonus: Have worked with SEO tools like Screaming Frog, SEMrush, and Search Console, and know how to tie rankings back to traffic and conversions.

Why TAG?
We’re a collaborative, nimble team that believes in the power of design, development, and data to build better digital experiences. We care deeply about the work we do, the clients we support, and the people we work alongside. At TAG, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in analytics, marketing, and strategy while helping shape how we evolve our offerings.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
