About the role

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to help maintain and grow our tech platform that accelerates application engineers' productivity and operational excellence. The Wonder Platform team enables the business grow through systems, tools, and process to: support correctness, improve operational, adopt scalable system designs, manage costs and improve engineering productivity. As an engineer on Wonder's Platform team, you will participate in these outcomes by building infrastructure,  providing customer support, and automation. This work ultimately supports every area of our business, from the production of tens of thousands of meals daily, through to delivery to our customers. Your contributions in this area will help Wonder continue to innovate and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Well designed systems that can scale and adapt to fill new requirements

  • Achieving operational excellence in your team's development lifecycle.

  • Integration and unit test coverage that gives you complete confidence to ship changes

  • Automation and documentation to empower developers instead of dependency on devops.

The experience you have

  • Bachelors degree(or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or related software engineering roles.

  • Proficiency in at-least one modern programming language.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Working with public cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, GCP.

  • Developing in, and building and deploying containers to production.

  • A modern orchestration and scheduling system such as Kubernetes.

  • Proficiency in relational and document databases. We are using MySQL, Postgres, Cosmos DB and MongoDB.

  • Building software in at least one programming language.

  • Designing and implementing tools to automate customer needs like CI/CD or deploying a new application.

  • Collaborating with Software Engineers to both improve engineering quality and accelerate development.

Base Salary Range: $176,000 per year

 

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience. 

 

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.
