A DevOps engineer is a technical leader that brings advanced experience in software development. You will work alongside our exceptional engineering team to deliver the future generations of our technology:
- Cloud-based algorithmic pipelines for image and geometry processing (C++, Python, AWS)
- Tooling for Machine Learning: data management, model training, validation and deployment (C++, Python/Pytorch, AWS)
You will help us unlock the full potential of our domain expertise, leveraging unrivaled amounts of data to tackle unique medical and computing challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create infrastructure in AWS that supports our globally deployed applications
- Build robust cloud management services for monitoring, logging, security scanning, and alerting
- Monitor system performance, application health, and infrastructure metrics
- Implement proactive measures to optimize performance and availability
- Continuously improve (simplify, automate, document) our deployment process
- Apply security best practices at the cloud, operating system, and application level
- Follow HIPAA compliance guidelines and policies
- Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team
- Participate in on-call rotation
Skills Required:
- Proficient in AWS Tooling, such as EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and Networking services
- Knowledgeable about best practices in AWS, Chef, Docker, and Jenkins
- Strong Linux skills
- Working understanding of Python, Git, SQL, and Terraform
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Highly Preferred Skills:
- Experience with logging and monitoring tooling, such as CloudWatch and/or Datadog
- Understanding of AWS Serverless Technologies like Step Functions, Lambda and Fargate
- Knowledgeable about Artifact management using Artifactory
Educational Requirements & Work Experience:
- BS in computer science or technical field preferred
- 2+ years relevant work experience
A reasonable estimate of the yearly base compensation range is $110,000 to $150,000, cash bonus, and stock options.
