YOUR MISSION
At True Anomaly, software forms the backbone of our innovation. As a Level 2 DevOps Engineer, you are expected to build on your fundamental technical skills, taking on greater ownership and more complex tasks while still working under the guidance of senior team members. This role is ideal for individuals with hands on experience who are eager to deepen their expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions to streamline development workflows.
- Independently manage and troubleshoot containerized applications, ensuring reliable deployments and optimal performance.
- Assist in the design and maintenance of cloud-based solutions, with a focus on scalability, cost-efficiency, and security best practices.
- Utilize Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), while learning to handle more complex module and state management scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with security teams to enforce infrastructure security standards and proactively identify potential risks.
- Monitor system performance using established logging and monitoring tools and propose improvements for resilience and efficiency.
- Provide technical support to software development teams by troubleshooting deployment issues and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to promote shared knowledge and continuous improvement across the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or a related area
- Solid understanding of Linux systems and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Demonstrated experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using GitHub Actions)
- Practical experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with introductory experience using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
- Familiarity with basic monitoring and logging frameworks and an understanding of key security principles in a DevOps context
- U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) and/or DevOps methodologies
- Experience with hybrid networking and production-grade container orchestration solutions
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: Denver: $90,000 - $110,000 | Long Beach: $95,000 - $115,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Long Beach, Denver or Colorado Springs. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
