Build and maintain cloud infrastructure, automation, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines. Operate Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker workloads across multiple public clouds; configure observability tooling; troubleshoot production systems spanning networking, databases, serverless functions, and caching; and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. The role also involves owning infrastructure projects end to end and collaborating across engineering and product teams.
This is a remote position.
Remote, Canada or US.
We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain the automation, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines behind a cloud-hosted software platform. You'll work alongside engineering and product teams to keep environments reliable, observable, and easy to ship to, and you'll dig into problems across the stack when they surface.
You understand how a modern web service fits together, from compute and storage through networking, and you've run production workloads on major public cloud platforms. You're comfortable across container orchestration, infrastructure as code, and observability tooling, and you're at home automating the repetitive parts of operations away.
What you'll do
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment using infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management tooling
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Operate and administer containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker)
- Own projects end to end, from planning and design through execution and delivery
- Configure and tune monitoring, alerting, and dashboards
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure across more than one public cloud
- Troubleshoot the full delivery path: web servers, reverse proxies, DNS, container workloads, serverless functions, background job processing, relational and NoSQL databases, and caching layers
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation
- Agile experience is a plus
Requirements
What you bring
- A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years in a DevOps or closely related role
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Solid working knowledge of at least one major public cloud, ideally more than one
- A grasp of logging and metrics and how monitoring ties to the health and performance of an environment
- A track record of resolving complex production issues quickly
- Strong communication skills and comfort working across teams
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene
Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
- Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
- Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
- Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
