As our Development Executive for the Networking and Security practice, you’ll be a key player in driving growth across a portfolio of cutting-edge vendors and partners. This role is ideal for a high-performing, strategic sales professional who thrives on solving complex challenges, building strong relationships, and closing with confidence in the ever-evolving landscape of networking and cybersecurity.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Strategic Growth: Lead go-to-market strategies to grow our Networking and Security practice. Translate industry trends and partner needs into innovative business opportunities.

  • Own the Sales Cycle: Build and expand relationships with channel partners to identify upsell, cross-sell, and new business opportunities. Deliver on revenue and margin goals through solution selling.

  • Build Partner & Vendor Alliances: Cultivate trusted relationships with key security and networking vendors. Negotiate terms and programs that maximize mutual growth and value.

  • Analyze & Act on Market Data: Leverage data insights to anticipate industry shifts and adjust sales strategies accordingly. Make informed decisions that optimize category performance.

  • Collaborate to Win: Partner across internal teams — sales, marketing, operations, and product — to align strategies, streamline execution, and drive success in the field.

  • Engage Customers with Purpose: Understand the challenges and goals of our reseller partners and end-customers. Tailor networking and security solutions that deliver business outcomes.

  • Champion Product Expansion: Identify opportunities to enhance or diversify the portfolio in response to partner demand and emerging threats in cybersecurity.

  • Maximize Digital Platforms: Promote adoption of Ingram Micro’s Xvantage platform to enable data-driven decision-making, seamless transactions, and smarter partner engagement.

  • Solution-Based Selling: Focus on crafting complete solutions across multiple vendors, not just selling individual products — delivering true value to every partner.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of successful experience in outside sales, business development, or account management — ideally in IT distribution, networking, cybersecurity, or related technology fields

  • Proven record of hitting or exceeding sales targets in a quota-carrying role

  • Deep knowledge of networking technologies, security solutions, and IT infrastructure trends

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills

  • Ability to operate strategically while executing tactically — balancing the big picture with daily impact

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, sales analytics, and digital sales platforms

  • Financial acumen including P&L understanding, pipeline forecasting, and deal profitability

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both technical and business audiences

  • Willingness to travel to engage with customers, vendors, and teams across regions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Familiarity with major security and networking vendors, channel programs, and distribution models

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $67,300.00 - $114,400.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance. U.S.-based employees have access to healthcare benefits, paid time off, parental leave, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
