Labcorp is seeking a US remote Development and Translation Scientist - Genetics to join our team!
(This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship).
Work Schedule: Daytime business hours; Monday through Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
This role is within the Genetic Insights Group (GIG), a research and development team dedicated to advancing the science of genetic variant interpretation and the use of genetic information in healthcare. Development and translation scientists provide expertise for growing commercial products, curate the medical literature for existing and new products, ideate and prototype more effective variant interpretation, content curation, and organization workflows, and provide input/feedback for platform development and translation of research efforts.
Lead knowledge curation efforts for high-priority products and services
Identify and implement improvements in gene curation and clinical guidelines
Develop and refine AI modeling labels and disease mechanism frameworks
Drive the design and prototyping of novel genomics-based capabilities
Represent development programs in cross-functional meetings
Lead or significantly contribute to scientific publications, whitepapers, and marketing content
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in genetic counseling with 4 or more years of experience in genetics, genetic counseling, genomics research or curation of genetic disorders or PhD in molecular biology.
Preferred qualifications:
1 or more years of experience in clinical genetics
1 or more years of experience with clinical guidelines and clinical risk models and hereditary cancer genetics.
Additional Job Standards:
Experience in project leadership and cross-functional collaboration
Ability to translate complex scientific and technical concepts into accessible content
Success in managing collaborative and individual projects
Ability to learn and apply new technologies and related concepts quickly

Pay Range: $120k-$140k annually (USD)
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
