About CrunchDAO

CrunchDAO is a pioneering decentralized AI platform that harnesses a global community of 7,000+ quants to develop next-generation algorithmic trading strategies. Backed by top-tier venture capital firms, CrunchDAO stands at the intersection of web3 and AI. CrunchDAO is anchored by real revenue from enterprise data, with top-tier financial institutions already on board. Our community-centric model, dynamic culture make CrunchDAO a unique and exciting place to work.

Role Overview

As a Developer Relations Lead at CrunchDAO, you will champion our platform to the global developer and data science community. Your goal is to inspire, educate, and engage developers—both Web3 and traditional—to build, collaborate, and innovate on CrunchDAO’s decentralized platform. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure our technical ecosystem is accessible, well-documented, and continuously improving based on developer feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Community Building & Advocacy
Foster a vibrant developer community by creating channels for engagement, organizing meetups, and hosting hackathons or workshops.
Actively gather and address developer feedback to inform platform enhancements.

  2. Technical Evangelism
Represent CrunchDAO at conferences, webinars, and online forums—showcasing how our decentralized data science model can transform capital markets. Create demos, sample integrations, and proof-of-concept projects that highlight the power of CrunchDAO’s platform.

  3. Educational Content & Documentation
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to produce clear, comprehensive documentation, tutorials, and guides. Develop content that demystifies complex concepts (machine learning, blockchain, DAO governance) for diverse skill levels.

  4. Developer Experience Enhancement
Identify pain points in the developer journey—onboarding, platform usage, etc.—and propose solutions to improve usability and adoption. Translate community feedback into actionable tasks for internal teams.

  5. Open Source & Collaboration
Manage and grow open-source initiatives within CrunchDAO’s ecosystem, encouraging contributions and ensuring best practices. Advocate for developer needs internally, championing new features, tools, or incentives that foster active participation.

  6. Cross-Functional Alignment
Work with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align developer-focused activities with strategic goals. Coordinate with business development on potential partnerships or integrations that can expand the developer community.

What you bring

  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Python, ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), and familiarity with blockchain/crypto ecosystems.

  • Developer Community Experience: 2+ years building or managing developer communities, contributing to open-source, or running hackathons.

  • Strong Communication: Comfortable explaining technical concepts to both experts and newcomers—through presentations, blog posts, or live demos.

  • Collaboration & Empathy: Ability to connect with diverse audiences and translate developer concerns into actionable improvements.

  • Passion for Innovation: Excitement about decentralized models, machine learning, and shaping the future of quantitative finance.

Why Join CrunchDAO

  • Web3 & AI Frontier: Join a company revolutionizing how trading strategies are created, evaluated, and deployed, standing at the crossroads of two high-growth sectors.

  • Community-Driven Innovation: Collaborate daily with a diverse global network of talented quants.

  • Real-World Impact: Our solutions are already in use by top financial institutions, giving you exposure to large-scale enterprise projects.

  • Growth & Fun: From revolutionizing algorithmic trading to enjoying beach access near our Darien office, there’s no shortage of adventure.

  • Strong Backing: Supported by premier venture capital firms in the web3 space, ensuring stability and ample resources to push boundaries.

If you’re excited to sharpen your quant development skills and shape the future of decentralized AI-driven trading, apply now. We’d love to hear from you!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
