About CodeRabbit

CodeRabbit is an innovative research and development company focused on building extraordinarily productive human-machine collaboration systems. Our primary goal is to create the next generation of Gen AI-driven code reviewers: a symbiotic partnership between humans and advanced algorithms that significantly outperforms individual engineers. We combine language models with human ingenuity to push the boundaries of software development efficiency and quality.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Developer Community Manager to own and grow our Discord server into the go-to space for developers who care about code quality, code reviews, and developer productivity. You’ll be the voice and heart of our community facilitating discussions, answering questions, organizing events, and making sure our members feel heard, supported, and excited to be part of the CodeRabbit ecosystem.

This is a highly cross-functional role that sits between marketing, product, and support. You’ll also help inform product roadmap by bringing community insights to the team.

Responsibilities
  • Grow the Community: Drive Discord growth by inviting developers, sparking organic conversations, and partnering with influencers or partners.

  • Foster Engagement: Create meaningful and consistent engagement through prompts, discussions, Q&As, polls, and open office hours.

  • Content & Communication: Craft thoughtful updates, announcements, community newsletters, and memes/dev humor that resonate with developers.

  • Events & Activations: Host AMAs, office hours, product walkthroughs, dev challenges, contests, live feedback sessions, and more to build community culture.

  • Moderation & Support: Enforce guidelines, manage moderators, and ensure the server remains a positive, inclusive space for all members.

  • Feedback Loop: Be the eyes and ears of CodeRabbit—surface product feedback, bugs, feature requests, and sentiment from the community.

  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on key community health metrics like growth, engagement rate, sentiment, and retention.

Qualifications
  • 2 to 4+ years experience managing a technical or developer-focused community ideally on Discord.

  • Deep empathy and understanding of developer culture, values, and humor.

  • Strong written communication, especially in casual, async formats like Discord or forums.

  • Experience organizing virtual community events and handling moderation at scale.

  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative community feedback.

  • Self-starter who can operate independently in a fast-paced startup.

  • Bonus: Hands-on coding background or familiarity with GitHub, code reviews, or CI/CD tools.

Our Values
  1. Collaborative Humans: Prioritising collective intelligence

  2. Fearless Innovators: Turning obstacles into growth opportunities

  3. Persistent Passionate Developers: Thriving on complex, long-term challenges

  4. Impact-Driven Creators: Crafting intuitive tools for developers

  5. Rapid Learners and Un-learners: Adapting quickly in our fast-paced technological world

What We Offer
  1. Work on cutting-edge technology with real-world impact

  2. Collaborative and innovative environment

  3. Competitive salary, equity, and benefits

  4. Professional development opportunities

Base pay range for the role is 120k- 160k. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location.

To apply, please submit your resume. CodeRabbit is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
