The Desktop Support Engineer is a key member of our IT team, serving as the front-line support for employees across the business, including remote users. In this role, you’ll combine strong technical skills with excellent customer service to troubleshoot issues, keep systems running smoothly, and ensure our teams have the technology support they need to do their best work.

This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office and working 5 days per week in the office.

Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications, including antivirus, firewall, and anti-spyware solutions
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and repair information systems hardware to ensure reliable operation of computers and related equipment across the organization
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware failures; coordinate with vendors for repairs and replacements as needed
  • Perform computer moves, adds, and changes (MACs)
  • Reload and image operating systems
  • Install and configure software in accordance with The Wonderful Company’s information systems policies and procedures
  • Assist with network administration tasks, including new user setup and removal, Active Directory moves, adds, and changes, and general Windows troubleshooting
  • Provide printer support, including setup, moves, configuration changes, and toner/ink supply management
  • Support mobile device management (MDM)
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and support handheld barcode scanners
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for helpdesk calls
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for chat-based technical support

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or degree from technical trade school, plus 1-2 years of experience in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A+ Certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Products - Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with Oracle systems is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and communicate with employees at all levels
  • Sensitivity to cultural and bilingual considerations in a diverse work environment
  • Superior customer service skills with a user-focused mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively, and perform effectively under pressure and tight timelines

Pay Range: $25.50 - $28.00 an hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
