Job Description

Fabletics is looking for a Designer – Men’s.

How do you fit in?

As a Designer on the Men’s team, you will work to initiate concepts each season that are fashion driven, reflective of the creative vision, always with a functional and performance lens, paired to the Fabletics aesthetic.  You will join an extremely fast-paced team of passionate and energetic creative individuals working towards our vision to be the world’s most fashionable, innovative and inclusive active-lifestyle brand.  You will be a highly energetic self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset that understands our brand’s aesthetic and the Fabletics customer.

You will report to the Vice President of Design and partner closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Production and Technical Design teams.

What you will do:

  • Be a strong contributor in research and inspiration through shopping the competitive marketplace and identifying product opportunities including trend, silhouette, mood, color theory and fabric development.
  • Have a proficient understanding of design and fit intent, material and construction and be able to present ideas articulately to cross functional partners and design leadership.
  • Support and contribute to collections that execute against aligned line plans and assortment strategies, while delivering responsible cost targets.
  • Ability to own a category of styles from concept through creation; and manage the collaboration with cross functional partners to deliver innovative, brand appropriate, and impeccably fitting designs.
  • Partner with Product Developer and Vendors on raw material & trim sourcing
  • Create, maintain and update tech packs, sketches and design decks, including fit comments and design changes in PLM.
  • Staying hyper focused on the Fabletics’ consumer by actively reading consumer reviews online, store visits and participation in consumer insight events.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design and Product Development and proactively communicate changes and/or updates accordingly.
  • Adhere to Global Calendar deadlines and expectations through each milestone point.
  • Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary.

What you can bring:

  • 4-6 years previous men’s performance and lifestyle apparel design.
  • Proven track record of identifying trends and delivering results
  • Great understanding of the marketplace and competitive set
  • Experience in garment construction and strong attention to detail and materials
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group at all levels
  • Ability to be creative while working with a constant sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment with high output of on-trend styles and multiple deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial go-getter, highly motivated self-starter with the ability to troubleshoot and be resourceful to solve problems
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop: create design flats, tech packs, line sheets

Nice to have, but we’ll teach you:

  • Experience designing for diverse bodies
  • Miro experience

The annual base salary range for this position is from $75,600-$98,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Fabletics expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
