What You’re Applying For:
The Mid-level UX Designer will help support our digital products through iterative stages of discovery, wire-framing, prototyping, usability testing, development and post-release support. You will partner up with a Product owner and interpret user needs and corporate strategies to create accessible and useful products.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop user- experience design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, usage scenarios, task analysis, specifications, and other UX design deliverables.
- Participate in the product definition process with the Product Manager, Engineering and User Research. Drive the clarification of the user tasks and objectives.
- Understand target users’ needs, motivations, and behaviors as it relates to a specific project or area. Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design challenges.
- Articulate user experience design issues effectively. Present and justify design thinking and rationale through key milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholders.
- Proactive, creative, and logical problem-solver, who can articulate abstract concepts in concrete ways.
- Contribute to the product roadmap by estimating level of effort and complexity of the overall project.
- Partner with User Research to craft user-testing prototypes and validating user-experience.
- Utilize A/B testing to present and validate design solutions.
Challenges:
- Navigate a fast-paced Agile environment requiring independent selfdirection with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.
- Articulate user experience design issues effectively. Present and justify design thinking and rationale through key milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to implement an intuitive, seamless user experience.
What You Need:
- Experience - Bachelors Degree in Design, User Experience, HCI or equivalent work experience (4+ years)
- Design – Brainstorm and sketch concepts before creating wireframes. Produce sitemaps, user flows, wire-frames, specs and functional prototypes to validate user-experience.
- Understanding the Bigger Picture - Ability to think and design holistically to create a cohesive, coherent product experience.
- Design Specification - Deliver appropriate level of specification needed to ensure a high quality product.
- Research + Trends - Researching and sharing industry trends, competitors, and comparable experiences. Using user insight, analytics, best practices to inform design decisions.
- Technical Knowledge - Proficient in key software packages such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Invision and Avocode. Understand web and mobile technologies
