Unity 2D Animator (Remote Contract)
Role: Unity 2D Animator (Remote, Contract)
Responsibilities:
As a Unity Animator you will be responsible for designing, animating, and implementing game functionality that speaks directly to our target audience. Using your skills, you will be working with Unity3D’s inbuilt animation tools to create gripping 2D animations that keep the user engaged and wanting more. You will communicate with a team of developers on a professional level while keeping up with a fast-paced environment. The team will look to lean on your extensive technical knowledge and problem-resolution skills as well as personal opinions when implemented desired features.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 or more years of experience with Unity3D/Content Development or similar platforms
- A good eye for animation
- Excellent technical knowledge of how a game works
- Experience working with Unity in a 2D aspect, including layout, canvas objects, and textures
- Knowledge of sprite-sheets and 2D animation principles
- Experience animating for games within Unity
- Experience with Unity particle systems
- Good understanding/ability to read and write industry standard code (C#)
- A well-crafted animation reel/portfolio
- Experience with source control systems such as Git in a multi developer team environment.
- Strong problem-solving methodology
- Good communication skills and teamwork
- Experience creating sound effects for animations is a plus
