About the Role

We are hiring a Product Designer to join our team at Chime! As a Product Designer, you will help craft stunning, intuitive, and engaging consumer mobile experiences that make financial progress accessible for millions of people. Your expertise in visual design and UI craftsmanship will elevate our product’s aesthetics while ensuring delightful, user-centered interactions. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $176,490 and up to $245,100. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

This role is hybrid in San Francisco Monday-Thursday every week.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Own the visual design of Chime’s mobile product experiences, ensuring they are highly polished, engaging, and user-friendly.
  • Design and refine UI components, layouts, and interaction patterns to create a seamless and consistent experience.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to bring ideas to life.
  • Use data and user insights to drive design decisions and continuously improve our product.
  • Contribute to and elevate Chime’s design system, ensuring scalability and consistency across platforms.
  • Push the boundaries of fintech design by incorporating best practices and bold, innovative approaches.
  • Advocate for exceptional design quality, mentoring and inspiring fellow designers across the team.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing visually stunning, high-quality mobile product designs.
  • A proven track record of designing and shipping successful consumer-facing mobile applications.
  • Mastery of modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and deep knowledge of visual hierarchy, typography, and UI patterns.
  • A systematic approach to creating scalable and reusable design components.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for pixel-perfect execution.
  • The ability to balance business goals with an exceptional customer experience.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
