What You’re Applying For:
We’re looking for someone to work closely with our Advertising Product Development Team team who can design across devices/platforms and rise to the challenge of creating clean, intuitive ad products and design concepts – an innovator who can help deliver transformative and lucrative solutions. The right candidate will be conversant with the entire UX process including discovery, research, ideation, strategy, prototyping, and production design.
What You’ll Do:
As a UX/UI Product Designer, you will collaborate closely with product managers, sales account managers, and various stakeholders throughout the product/advertising development cycle to create innovative new ad products and thoughtful solutions to existing ones. You will work closely with analytics and product managers to conduct user research and plan strategies to deepen our understanding of our users and their needs. You will design clean, functional, and beautiful designs, and lead our team in reviews and share-outs.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, use cases, task analysis, specifications, and other UX / UI design deliverables for our Advertising product team.
- Design creative concepts and visual solutions while adhering to Edmund's design standards.
- Collaborate with various business owners on product definition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and other designers to leverage existing templates to provide creatives for review.
- Contribute to an agile development process - work iteratively, and in close conjunction with front-end developers to ensure the final product meets the product requirements and adheres to design best practices.
- Conceptualize original ideas to solve complex design challenges by creating simple and user-friendly experiences that drive user engagement
- Articulate user experience design issues effectively. Present and justify design thinking and rationale when delivering solutions to peers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the product roadmap by explaining and estimating the level of effort and complexity of a project or feature.
- Maintain curiosity and evangelize empathy for the needs of our customers through data driven discovery and design.
- Understand users' needs, motivations, and behaviors as it relates to your team’s products
- Partner with our product team to craft user-testing prototypes.
- Utilize usability testing or A/B testing to present and validate design solutions.
What You Need:
- Minimum 3+ years of UX/UI design for consumer-facing products (web, mobile, responsive design, and native mobile)
- Degree in Design, Art, New Media, HCI, Human Factors, Information Design, or related field.
- Must be a self-starter and a strong desire for continuous learning.
- Portfolio of work demonstrating:
- Interaction design including both UI and UX artifacts. Experience in UX/UI design for responsive based websites and mobile experiences is strongly preferred.
- Metrics-driven digital advertising creatives, both for mobile web and desktop.
- Expertise in designing clean, intuitive and innovative user interfaces
- Knowledge of current UX best practices and design processes
- Deep analytical, information architecture, and usability testing skills
- Experience driving user research and usability testing, and turning the output into data that can drive design decisions
- Expertise in the tools of the trade: Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, Abstract, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences, including senior leadership
- Ability to self-manage among competing priorities for on-time delivery of the most critical projects
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Bonus points for:
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience working with website advertising products
