As Tapcart’s first full-time hire in User Experience Researcher, you will help us build intuitive, powerful products.

You will help us answer the “why” by developing deep understanding of our merchant and consumer users. You will arm your colleagues across the company with insights generated by a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods. You will be a key voice in the Product organization, constantly advocating for the user, and driving our overall product roadmap in their service.

Some of the things you’ll do include:

• Be Tapcart’s UX research expert
• Drive the Product Roadmap with insight about our users
• Own the UXR Roadmap of research activities, combining input from colleagues across Tapcart with your personal point of view.
• Design and execute a variety of research studies, such as usability tests, diary studies, and online surveys
• Synthesize findings into meaningful themes, turning them into actionable and impactful reports
• Help us grow UXR: determine when & whom to hire, help with recruiting, and manage a small team
• Work cross-functionally with partners in Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and the executive team. 

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience performing UX research at a product-focused tech company
• 2+ years of experience driving UX research roadmaps
• A toolbelt overflowing with UXR resources: qualitative and quantitative research methods, analytic techniques, application platforms
• Experience designing and summarizing surveys
• Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
• Experience with successful partnership with product managers, designers, analytics, engineers, and other partners

Bonus if you have

• Experience in e-commerce or SaaS software
• BA/BS or higher degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or a related field
• Management experience
