Who we're looking for:

We are looking for a Director of Brand & Creative Strategy to help us make our work smarter, and resonate better with our target audiences, help us guide the development of our brand as it growth into new categories and new sports. This position is part of the Marketing team, reports to the VP Brand & Communications and will partner on a daily basis with the brand Creative Director and the Marketing Communications Director. But this role will collaborate with many teams beyond the Marketing team starting with the Web team, the Game team, the eCommerce team, etc.

What you'll do:

  • Champion of consumer insights and knowledge:
    • use research and analytics to formulate critical, actionable and inspiring insights and compelling messaging.
    • connect the dots with other users research teams and promotes information sharing and collaboration.
  • Ensure that teams stay connected with latest consumer and industry trends:
    • serve as a thought leader providing big picture thinking and initiating provoking discussions and ideas
  • Own brand and campaign metrics:
    • maintain (and evolves if necessary) the brand tracker and ensures that its results are communicated to the business
    • oversee creative testing and asset optimization to maximize campaign performance.
  • Provides direction re. overall content planning and content strategy
    • help set the yearly content plan and select the initiatives (and the channel strategy for each initiative) that will best deliver on the brand objectives
  • Improve the quality (content and process) of campaign briefing to internal and external teams:
    • review creative briefs and participates to creative briefings to make sure that they are inspiring, based on a consumer insights, includes a clear and single-minded message, are in line with strategic objectives.
    • educate the rest of the team re. what is a great brief.
  • Ensure that brand expressions are consistent across all touch points
    • champions integration and omni-channel thinking
      manages the process to evaluate and optimize consistency of our communications (images / copy) across all brand touch points
  • Articulate brand architecture / ecosystem
    • Helps develop a brand architecture where masterbrand, brand extensions, brand partners, brand programs are connected and work together to reinforce the brand growth and target relevance.

What we're looking for:

  • Connected to cycling and running, you know and like these sports and have a previous experience working for a sports company on the agency or the client side

  • You have a passion for creative and brand development, follow industry and consumer trends and can see opportunities in them

  • 10 year of experience in an agency or on the client side

  • Excellent communicator, you can explain and influence at the highest level

  • Experience working in a digital first environment

  • Experience on subscription based business is a plus
