Creative Operations Director
FabFitFun is looking for a strategic Creative Operations Director to join the Content & Creative team at our West Hollywood HQ. Reporting to the VP, Content & Creative, this role will lead creative digital transformation efforts and develop streamlined processes in order to elevate the team’s workflows. The ideal candidate knows how to turn vision into execution, has no fear of large projects, complex timelines, looming deadlines, or immediate turn arounds.
What You’ll Do:
- Research, evaluate, recommend, procure, and implement department-wide digital tools and systems (i.e. project management, digital asset management, digital publishing) and consult with necessary Legal, Finance, and IT teams for input
- Define and implement processes to ensure cross-functional teams work effectively and collaboratively
- Champion operational creative processes; establish new workflows, update process standards and best practices to drive efficiency and quality, analyze pain points to develop improvements, and adapt to a scaling environment
- Work with creative teams (design, photo, video) to ensure standards, templates, and approaches to asset development is aligned and synchronized
- Stay on top of industry standards and trends in order to make creative tool and system recommendations
- Manage creative agency/freelance partnerships including; identify continuous process improvement opportunities, maintain contracts and cost management, audit existing agencies to ensure all elements are updated and in compliance, research and recommend onshoring/offshoring where appropriate, and produce resource reports
- Partner with other Content & Creative team directors to align on best practices and schedules for overarching deliverables, timelines, and assets
- Oversee department employee onboarding to ensure all team members understand creative and design operations at FabFitFun
- Communicate project timelines, milestones, and actions to internal team members and additional key stakeholders
- Train, implement, and own vendor relationships for creative tools and softwares
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience independently managing creative operations
- Creative and/or In-House Agency background required
- Experience managing freelancers, staffing agencies, onshore/offshore required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Design, Project Management, or other related fields a plus
- Hands on design or production experience preferred
- Strong understanding of creative development processes and needs across multiple media types including digital, print, and video
- Ability to articulate and effectively communicate technical and creative concepts and requirements across all levels of the organization
- Effectively manage a high-volume inbox and calendars
