Under the leadership of the Chief Design Officer, Candescent is building a world-class Design Organization that integrates design, research, content, and analytics into a unified practice. The Design Strategy & Analytics Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping this ecosystem—connecting insight, storytelling, and measurement to ensure every design decision drives business and customer impact.

This strategic leadership role is ideal for someone fluent in design thinking and data analytics, capable of leading cross-disciplinary teams and building scalable frameworks that make design measurable, actionable, and transformative.

Responsibilities:

Design Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional design strategy initiatives that unify research, content, and analytics around a shared vision for user experience.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and marketing leadership to define success metrics and measure the business impact of design.
  • Translate complex data and insights into actionable narratives that influence executive decision-making and product direction.
  • Mentor and empower multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning.

Research & Insights

  • Reimagine the research function for an AI-driven world, integrating emerging tools, methodologies, and predictive insights to deepen understanding of customers and experiences.
  • Perform in-depth qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on user feedback to identify key trends and inform opportunities for experience optimization.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and monitor industry trends to inform design strategy.

Content Strategy & Governance

  • Oversee the creation and governance of Candescent’s voice, tone, and content systems across product and brand touchpoints.
  • Ensure content is clear, compliant, empathetic, and aligned with the company’s purpose and design principles.
  • Collaborate with enabling functions (e.g., marketing, sales, operations) to communicate new experience features and identify areas for improvement.

Customer Analytics & Performance

  • Build and lead a customer analytics function focused on CSAT, NPS, A/B testing, and behavioral data.
  • Develop dashboards and frameworks that connect customer satisfaction directly to design performance.
  • Provide data-driven insights into design effectiveness, user engagement, and experience outcomes.

Emerging Disciplines & Service Design

  • Define and guide evolving service areas such as Journey Management, Service Design, and Conversational Design.
  • Align emerging disciplines to business goals and experience strategy, ensuring scalable and impactful design solutions.

Product Design & Development Support

  • Create user journey maps and personas to inform product design and strategic planning.
  • Support design teams with evidence-based recommendations for layout, interaction models, and product flow.
  • Champion the integration of design strategy and analytics across the product development lifecycle, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards.
Qualifications:
  • BS/MS in Design Strategy, Human-Computer Interaction, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in UX strategy, design research, content strategy, or analytics leadership.
  • Proven success in building and scaling multidisciplinary design functions.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing strategic impact across research, content, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in design and analytics tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Dovetail, Amplitude, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and experienced in working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
