We’re a remote-first startup, seeking an experienced Design Lead located in India. 


Role Description

30% Hi-Fi Designs | 20% UX/UI Strategy | 20% Prototyping | 15% Research | 10% Leadership | 5% Learning


In this role, you will work with a dynamic team of designers, product managers, engineers, and data analysts to enhance the product experience and create delightful user interactions.


As a Senior Designer, you’ll lead the development of impactful platform enhancements and innovative new features. With your strong bias toward action and deep design expertise, you will transform complex challenges into intuitive and engaging designs. Responsibilities

  • High-Fidelity Design Execution (30%): Own the design process from conception through launch. Collaborate with writers, engineers, and product managers to bring innovative high-fidelity designs to life. Utilize your deep understanding of user journeys and attention to detail to create visually appealing and functional designs.
  • Prototyping and Wireframing (20%): Rapidly produce and iterate on wireframes that cater to specific user needs and scenarios, ensuring alignment with the broader design vision and project goals.
  • User Research and Testing (15%): Become a product expert through continuous user and client interaction to understand their needs and pain points. Utilize tools like data analytics, user session recordings, surveys, and interviews to gather actionable insights. Share findings with the team and integrate them into design strategies.
  • UX/UI Strategy (20%): Keep abreast of new trends in design and UX, evaluating their applicability to our projects. Use strategic insights gained from research to drive design decisions and enhancements.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership (10%): Lead project management efforts within the design team, responding swiftly to changes and ensuring effective communication across teams. Proactively address delays or blockers by coordinating with all stakeholders involved.
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation (5%): Constantly seek new knowledge and techniques in the field of design. Share innovative ideas and tools with the team to foster an environment of growth and continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience

  • Core Competencies: 4+ years of professional experience in the human-computer interaction design field (UX, UI, etc.)
  • Experience working with a development team: Experience working with a software engineering and product management team to build products from concept to launch.
  • Adaptability & Learning: Enthusiastic quick learner who enjoys tackling complex problems. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing expectations and responsibilities.
  • Design Excellence: Exceptional wireframing and design abilities; able to explain rationale behind design decisions.
  • Data-Driven Design: Demonstrated ability to use metrics and testing to develop hypotheses and evaluate design solutions.
  • Strategic Execution: Ability to think strategically and execute methodically. Exceptional project management skills. Able to drive your own projects forward while also collaborating with other designers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Figma or eagerness to learn.
  • Remote Collaboration: Comfortable with a largely remote team.
  • Visionary Mindset: Desire to help create something big.
  • Referrals: People that have worked with you will attest to the above.
  • Educational Qualification: Minimum BA/BS/BTech/BE degree
