We are now accepting applications for our remote, 10 week, paid Summer internship program on our Visual and Product Design teams.
Being a designer at Kettle means playing a pivotal role in shaping experiences that span across departments, bringing creativity, strategy, and innovation together to craft meaningful solutions. Our designers are not just creators—they are collaborators, storytellers, problem-solvers, and visionaries who drive impact through design.
Our Visual Designers are imaginative, organized, and resourceful, combining artistry with systematic thinking to create compelling, forward-thinking work. They collaborate across teams to conceptualize and execute designs that are both beautiful and strategic, ensuring a seamless and cohesive visual experience.
Our Interaction Designers are experts in Figma and prototyping, translating vision into intuitive and scalable UX/UI solutions. They design new features, refine existing ones, and establish cohesive design patterns across platforms and devices. By partnering closely with Product Managers and Strategists, they push user experiences forward, ensuring every interaction is purposeful and engaging.
As our Design Intern, you will split your time between both teams to learn aspects of Visual and UX/UI design.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate and work with design teams to create refined, scalable design solutions
- Develop existing design concepts into new approaches
- Help create, maintain and implement style guides to ensure consistent experiences
- Help shape presentations to communicate concepts that tell a story
- Create flat comps and interactive prototypes in collaboration with creative teams
- Partner closely with creative leads to ensure work meets expectations
- Participate in internal creative reviews, and impromptu work sessions
- Co-create with other interns on a final Intern presentation based on a previous agency brief and present that work
What we’re looking for:
- Comfortable working in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; additional creative software (motion, prototyping, coding) a plus
- Confident presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication
- A portfolio of work samples that show digital, UX and UI design
- Familiarity with AI tools, and the ability to explain or demonstrate value gained through AI, and how you use it in your workflow
Requirements:
- You must be entering your senior year of undergraduate studies, a recent graduate, master's student, career changer, reentering the workforce, or switching careers
- You must be currently based in the U.S
- You must be able to work approximately 40 hours per week for the duration of the program
The salary range for this role is between $20 - $25 per hour based skill set, education level, location, and experience.
