You will be working alongside a passionate team that is heavily experienced in big tech and startups.

As a Design Engineer at Azuki, you’ll craft beautiful, impactful, and engaging user experiences alongside a talented team of developers, designers, and artists. You’ll leverage your expertise in design and engineering to create high-visibility solutions and deliver innovative builds showcasing Azuki’s brand and lore, such as Hilumia, The Alley, BEANZ 101, and much more!

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Passionate about creating stunning, user-centric front-end experiences that captivate and engage.

• Comfortable owning complex design projects from start to finish (ideation, prototyping, implementation), with a focus on performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.

• Proficient in using modern web technologies like WebGL, Three.js, and other cutting-edge frameworks to bring designs to life.

• Able to distill complex design concepts and present them clearly to stakeholders across different functions (engineering, product, business) to ensure cohesive and robust implementation.

• Proactive, sweats the details, resourceful, strong work ethic, and willing to roll up sleeves to unblock.

TECHNICAL EXPECTATIONS

• Skilled in creating interactive 2D and 3D experiences and animations that push the boundaries of web design.

• Deeply experienced with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and React or similar frameworks.

• Familiar with techniques for optimizing rendering performance, ensuring smooth and responsive user experiences.

• Experienced in ensuring designs work seamlessly across different devices and browsers.

• Comfortable creating and maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries.

REQUIREMENTS

• ≥ 3 years of experience in frontend development and design engineering, particularly in roles involving complex, interactive interfaces.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Design, Engineering, or a related field or equal professional experience.

• A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create visually stunning and technically proficient web experiences.

• Experience developing with little to no supervision, biasing towards action to resolve open questions.

• Knowledge and enthusiasm for web3 technologies, decentralized systems, and the metaverse are a big plus.
