Buck Mason is looking for a full-time Design Director specializing in women's wovens. The ideal candidate has a love of the timeless classics and a passion for interpreting garments for the modern customer. The Design Director will oversee the full woven assortment, including soft wovens, tailoring, and leather.
An obsession with quality, fabric, and fit is a must. The Design Director will be responsible for developing design concepts, managing day-to-day design functions, and delivering best-in-class product. Candidates should possess a passion for creative ideas and devotion to details.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure design integrity and consistency across all woven product lines
- Collaborate with EVP of Design to lead the design team from concept through execution
- Oversee fittings and construction, maintaining exceptional standards in garment execution
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, production, and technical design teams
- Source and develop fabrics and trims with a strong emphasis on quality, hand feel, and longevity
- Incorporate vintage inspiration into a modern, relevant product offering
- Manage, mentor, and inspire the design team, fostering growth and accountability
- Maintain calendar deadlines and ensure timely delivery of all design milestones
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in luxury, designer, or high-end contemporary womenswear
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing design teams
- Exceptional taste level with a strong, point-of-view aesthetic
- Deep knowledge of garment construction, pattern, and fit
- Advanced understanding of fabrics, particularly woven textiles and leather
- Strong vintage knowledge across both designer and traditional categories; ability to translate references into modern product
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative mindset
