 We are looking for a Deputy Chief of Staff to report directly to the Chief of Staff and perform a variety of duties that will keep our company on its steep trajectory, our business on-track, and our CEO well-equipped to lead.

In this role you will: The Deputy Chief of Staff serves as a key aide to CEO and assists the Chief of Staff in managing the CEO’s office. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will work closely with the entire executive team.  Your responsibilities will fall into several buckets:

CEO and CoS Support:

  • Provide senior-level staff support for the CEO, in conjunction with the CoS
  • Assist CEO and CoS w/ management of the company’s daily operations
  • Support the CEO’s internal and external communications, including with the press
  • Facilitate CEO’s effective and timely decision-making by collecting, organizing, and analyzing information from all departments needed for CEO’s decisions
  • Conduct research and writing on behalf of the CEO
  • Ensure follow-up with relevant stakeholders
  • Travel as necessary to staff the CEO

Organizational Project Management:

  • Lead cross-functional planning activities and processes to move forward the organization’s vision, strategic and operational plans. Provide oversight and guidance to projects critical to the CEO, including maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Executive Meetings and Board Related Activities:

  • Develop and compile agendas, materials and presentations for important executive meetings, quarterly board meetings and committee meetings
  • Provide support for the Board’s overall effective governance and execution against annual work plans

We are looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or related field followed by meaningful related work experience (3-5 years) managing a complex operation
  • A strong analytical background and ability to challenge accepted thinking
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and external stakeholders, especially in the media/press
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, decision-making, conflict resolution and administrative skills
  • Superior organization and prioritization skills as well as attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which requires juggling competing demands
  • Above all a mission-driven presence and a strong sense of humor
