About this Role

As a Deployment Strategist at Picogrid, you will serve as a trusted partner to our Department of War (DoW), NATO, and international customers, directly impacting their mission success and effectiveness. Your core responsibility is to ensure successful adoption and deployment of the Picogrid platform by tailoring solutions, overseeing product implementation, and managing the overall program execution. You will maintain customer and partner relationships, prepare critical written materials, and proactively remove any blockers to progress.

This is a highly collaborative and influential role. You will work closely with our Engineering team to translate real-world user feedback into product roadmap influence, and partner with Business Development to deepen and expand our relationships. You must be an adaptive communicator, able to effectively tailor your message to everyone from junior officers and enlisted members to general officers and C-suite executives.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience serving as a trusted partner to U.S. or allied military customers, managing relationships, and translating complex operational needs into solutions.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills in unstructured environments, demonstrating the creativity and critical thinking necessary to "do what it takes" to ensure every customer relationship is a success.

  • Proven ability to understand user critical questions, identify pain points, and optimize product usage; history of collaborating effectively with engineering teams to deliver complex projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish, prioritize, nurture, and grow relationships with Department of Defense partners with a high degree of independence.

  • Experience in leading contract, exercise, and demo preparation and execution, and translating field observations into actionable product insights.

  • Active or eligibility to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.

  • Ability to travel 50 – 75% depending on project and client needs.

  • Low ego, focused on team success, delivering impactful outcomes, and passionately solving mission challenges for our partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (preferably Computer Science, Engineering, or Natural Sciences), or demonstrable prior technical experience.

  • Deep market insights within the Defense and Intelligence sectors, particularly in areas such as Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2), intelligence, and tactical communications.

  • Experience in Management Consulting, Business Development, or similar roles, ideally within a leading defense technology firm.

  • A power user of PowerPoint, Google Slides, and other productivity tools.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $80,000 - $140,000 + Performance Incentive

Export Control Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
