About Us

TakeUp, LLC is revolutionizing revenue optimization for hospitality with a daring approach to pricing. Using AI and machine learning, TakeUp empowers independent operators to unlock maximum revenue potential through pricing courageously—day in, day out. Seamlessly integrated with top Property Management Systems, our platform replaces traditional rate-setting constraints with data-driven confidence, delivering an impressive 10-15x ROI.
The Opportunity

We’re extending our impact beyond pricing to help independent operators capture more revenue across the guest journey. As the first Product Manager focused on this expansion, you’ll turn rough customer pains into real-world experiments, ship fast-and-scrappy solutions, and guide successful bets toward full-fledged products. You’ll join a profitable company at the moment new ideas move from sketchpad to market test.
What You'll Do

  • Lead discovery through conversations with innkeepers - extract insights, frame problems, and validate hypotheses quickly.
  • Be the voice of the customer and the market opportunity - marrying insight with intuition to prioritize what matters most.
  • Own a 0→1 initiative with executive visibility, directly shaping one of the most strategic bets for the company.
  • Design lean experiments including landing pages, concierge pilots, no-code hacks, and launch them to gauge demand before heavy build cycles.
  • Translate early traction into a clear product vision and phased roadmap, collaborating closely with design, engineering, and go-to-market.
  • Define success metrics, set up lightweight tracking, and iterate based on real usage and revenue impact.
  • Balance scrappiness and quality: know when to push an MVP live and when to invest in polish and scalability.
  • Evangelize learnings and customer perspectives across the company, shaping strategy as we grow the platform.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of product management in B2B SaaS, including leading at least one zero-to-one or v1 launch.
  • Proven track record running rapid experiments to test demand and inform build/no-build decisions.
  • Experience with revenue-generation or marketing-adjacent products (hospitality or small-business tech a plus).
  • Skilled at user research, hypothesis-driven development, and data-informed prioritization, without needing a big-company analytics stack.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can rally cross-functional teams and external stakeholders around a scrappy plan.
  • Start-up mindset: bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to wear multiple hats.
  • Nice-to-have: exposure to AI/ML-enabled products or hospitality integrations.

Why Join Us?

At TakeUp, we empower our team to innovate, grow, and succeed. You’ll join a passionate group of professionals who are committed to changing the way businesses run. This is mission-driven work: we’re empowering independent inns and small hotels, businesses often underserved and outgunned by enterprise competitors, with technology that levels the playing field.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
