Job Description

KIOXIA America is seeking an experienced Demand / Forecast Planner to join the Memory Business Team.

This role is responsible for leading financial forecasting activities, managing inventory positions, calculating financial accruals, and supporting operational needs for strategic customer accounts. The Demand / Forecast Planner will prepare and present the financial forecast, budget, and mid-term plan to leadership teams.

This position requires close collaboration with Sales, Finance, Planning, Engineering, and Japan HQ team members. The role includes regular participation in customer and internal discussions, which will require evening calls due to time-zone differences.

Success in this position requires strong analytical ability, advanced Excel skills, clear communication, and exceptional attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial forecasts for strategic customers with accuracy. Provide regular updates to finance and management teams, highlighting key insights and variances. Conduct forecast-to-forecast comparisons to identify trends, assess performance to budget, and recommend adjustments as needed. 
  • Calculate price adjustment accruals accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with financial policies. Coordinate with overseas colleagues to align on adjustment processes and timelines, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration across teams. Maintain detailed documentation of accrual calculations and adjustments for audit purposes.
  • Support budgeting and mid-term planning (MTP) cycles, preparing analysis, summaries, and forecast inputs as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in Japan, KIOXIA overseas companies, Sales, Engineering and other departments to support customer requirements
  • Develop in-depth technical understanding of the products to the extent appropriate in understanding their business implications, to enhance decision making
  • Regular travel required: ~ 25% (mostly domestic, some international)
  • Mandatory time in the office a minimum of three days a week (Tues-Thurs)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial forecasting, supply chain planning, account management, or related analytical roles.
  • Experience with NAND Flash or other semiconductor memory products is strongly desired.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIF, conditional formatting, and large-dataset management.
  • Ability to create and maintain dynamic spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing presentations for leadership.
  • High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and results-oriented work style.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional global teams across multiple time zones; willingness to support weekly evening calls.
  • Strong familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of financial reconciliation
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time both domestically and internationally
  • Mandatory time in the office a minimum of three days a week (Tues-Thurs)

The expected salary for this position is $82,770.00 - $136,780.00.
