2020 Companies is hiring a full-time Brand Representative, representing our client, Dell.

About the Job

The Brand Representative (BA) will primarily be responsible for building relationships and brand awareness inside retail stores, on behalf of Dell. 

The ideal candidate is a “people-person” who can cultivate relationships and build excitement about the Dell brand and products.  The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to create thoughtful and positive interactions with both store associates and prospective customers alike. The Brand Representative will leverage relationships to aid in selling, training, and merchandising Dell products throughout the specified market. All product training will be provided, we just need you to bring your personality and positive energy.

Day-in-the-Life as a Dell Brand Advocacy Representative

  • Typically work Tuesday - Saturday

  • Schedule is flexible to create a positive work/life balance as well as meet the needs of the business

  • Refresh product displays on a quarterly basis

  • Incentives will be provided based on designated sales goal performance for Dell products

  • Build partnerships and trust with key stakeholders inside of stores, including shoppers and retail associates

  • Leverage relationship building to educate retail associates on latest Dell offerings

  • Ensure Dell’s retail brand standards are maintained by regularly inspecting all Dell branded displays and marketing

  • Travel within assigned territory to physically visit various retailers, generating brand excitement from managers and retail associates

Shopper Experience

  • Enhance the Dell brand experience for shoppers

  • Demonstrate and promote Dell products at retailers in the assigned market

  • Be the in-store resource to answer questions, discuss product features and provide hands-on demonstrations

  • Ensure all retailer sales personnel are highly knowledgeable on the unique selling points of Dell devices

  • Conduct experience events to engage Retail Sales Associates and customers

Brand Presence

  • Confirm display devices are clean, functional, and available for customers to use

  • Ensure Dell’s retail brand standards are maintained by inspecting branded displays and marketing materials

  • Conduct survey of in-store branded fixtures and displays and record findings

  • Partner with store leaders on solutions for pricing or merchandising issues

  • Execute resets, including placement or removal of devices and marketing material

Market Intelligence

  • Provide insight into marketplace trends of territory retailers

  • Collect consumer insights weekly

  • Gather intelligence from stores which are exceeding sales performance

  • Provide data on competitor pricing, incentives, promotions, and customer preference or sentiment

We are looking for people who strive to have genuine interactions to create brand advocates for Dell amongst store associates and shoppers.

Job Description:

  • Drive brand market share through daily direct and indirect sales activities engaging directly with customers and retail channel partners
  • Develop partnership with retail store management to foster sales driving activities with associates
  • Schedule and facilitate sales and product training with front line store associates and managers
  • Ensure current products are displayed, functional, and clean
  • Set Retail Display Resets and Refreshes as needed within assigned Markets
  • Opportunity to travel for Merchandising throughout the nation
  • Drive sales productivity through high quality sales interactions with customers
  • Build and maintain industry vertical affiliate distribution relationships
  • Effectively assess and communicate on-site needs such as marketing material and promotional collateral, etc.
  • Educate customers while making product recommendations
  • Meet or exceed personal sales productivity goals and key metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Accurately document and report sales, schedules, activities and best practices
  • Collect customer feedback and provide sales/marketing channel insight and recommendations
  • Set and maintain brand merchandising in retail locations and ensure all brand standards are followed

Performance Measurements:

  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals
  • Meet or exceed weekly in store time goals
  • Visit multiple store locations on a daily and weekly basis
  • Effectively schedule store visits two weeks or more in advance
  • Effectively execute sales activities inside each location during all visits
  • Effectively demonstrate an on-going ability to establish, maintain and influence business relationships through increased shelf space, product placement and consistent productivity
  • Record and maintain appropriate documentation for each visit

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 6+ months previous retail selling experience in consumer electronics or other technical/wireless products preferred
  • 6+ months of successful training experience, preferably within direct marketing/retail environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs
  • Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform independently in an unstructured work environment
  • Travel within 70 miles of Ideal Market Zip Code with occasional travel to other Markets
  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation and state-required minimum liability automobile insurance coverage
