Maritz Automotive Solutions is a leading automotive consulting firm specializing in driving dealership success from showrooms to service bays. We are currently seeking an In-Dealership Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role you will build relationships with dealer partners, focusing on promoting, supporting, and coaching dealer owners, managers, and commercial sales consultants. Your goal is to highlight the benefits and drive additional sales of the OEMs software products and subscriptions services to fleet companies and small business owners.
This role will sit near one of the following cities/areas with the ability to travel up to 80%: Denver, Salt Lake City, or Southern California
Primary Responsibilities:
Build familiarity and engagement with the OEMs current and future tech product offerings
Develop and implement strategies to optimize dealership performance.
Conduct training and implementation with dealership management and staff.
Execute training plans specific to the dealer audience.
Build strong, productive relationships with Dealer personnel and OEM Field Team.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and be the primary point of contact for dealerships in your assigned territory.
Establish effective relationships and facilitate in-person and virtual discussions to identify opportunities with client OEM KPIs through consultation and facilitation with the dealership, develop action plans for implementing process improvements specific to the store.
Coordinate with OEM Field Team to develop strategies to grow the OEM Program in assigned territory
Maintain online schedule and submit weekly action plans, expense reports, contact reports, etc.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
Four-year college degree (bachelors) or equivalent experience preferred
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of consulting and/or retail experience with automotive dealerships • Ability to work independently and generate results
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent presentation, facilitation, and motivational skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
Willingness to travel as needed (up to 80%).
Manage expenses efficiently as required by provided guidelines (OEM specific or Maritz)
Computer skills with Microsoft Office proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
Ability to effectively and efficiently use your time to focus on the most impactful activities and challenge those that distract from the identified goals
