About the Team:

At Netlify, the Deal Desk team partners with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success to accelerate revenue by guiding deals from quote creation through booking and hand-off to Finance. Acting as trusted advisors on pricing strategy, contract terms, and deal structure, we own the governance that keeps margins healthy while enabling reps to close business quickly. This role exists to ensure every deal aligns with company policy, recognizes revenue correctly, and lands in the general ledger without surprises while still maintaining a positive experience for the customer and the sales organization. By streamlining the quote-to-cash workflow and coaching Sales on best practices, Deal Desk directly impacts ARR growth, forecast accuracy, and Netlify’s ability to scale efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the go-to advisor for Sales on deal structure, discount strategy, commercial terms, and Order Form generation meeting SLA targets for turnaround time.
  • Own end-to-end deal governance: validate data accuracy, ensure compliance with revenue-recognition policies.
  • Continuously improve quote-to-cash processes: document SOPs, automate approvals where possible, and drive cross-functional projects that reduce friction and improve speed to revenue.
  • Support month-end / quarter-end close activities, reconciling bookings, resolving order exceptions, and collaborating with Accounting to ensure clean hand-off.

What You'll Bring:

  • Several years of Deal Desk or Order Management experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce (Opportunities, Products, Accounts)
  • A strong grasp of SaaS pricing models, MRR/ARR metrics, and structuring multi-year deals
  • Proven ability to interpret legal language and collaborate with Legal on non-standard terms (e.g., MSA redlines, data-privacy addenda).
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables)
  • A track record of cross-functional partnership and crisp communication with Sales leadership, Finance, and Product teams.
  • High attention to detail and a bias for documentation: you leave processes clearer and teams more self-sufficient than you found them.

This Role is a Great Fit If:

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities shift and end-of-quarter energy is real.
  • You’re energized by solving puzzles, structuring complex deals that satisfy customers while protecting margin.
  • You have a “no surprises” mindset: proactive, transparent, and comfortable raising risks early with actionable solutions.
  • You love process improvement and see every manual step as an opportunity to automate or streamline.
  • You value clear, concise documentation and believe enablement materials should be as polished as the product.
  • You are comfortable working remotely across time zones, using Slack, Google Meet, and Linear to stay aligned with global teams.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
